I'm struggling with day 3 of week 1!!! Repeated it 4 times so far. So well done for making it as far as you have.

Why not make proper cakes, 4oz butter same flour same sugar and 2 eggs. Make mini cupcakes and freeze. Cake mixes are full of preservatives and 'flavourings' . I rather real cake in small portions than packet stuff.

I have porridge oats with a heap of berries, huge dollop of 0% Greek yoghurt, 1/2 cup of skimmed milk and squeeze of honey every morning. I don't eat it as porridge, more like museli . Sometimes I have an omelette sandwich with tomato ketchup, but find my oat breakfast the most satisfying. I have fruit, an apple or satsuma…

 Well done you for managing to get any exercise in, you have my admiration . Keep at it, it's got to be better than not doing any.

Grilled pork chop, butternut squash, broccoli and cauliflower, all steamed. Plus gravy and apple sauce.

I love sipping hot water and lemon first thing in the morning, I add a slice of fresh ginger too. I started doing it when I had kidney problems and found it very soothing, now I just like it! :drinker:

I usually do my weekly shop in Tesco or Sainsbury but I have to say that if i'm having trouble finding anything Waitrose saves the day. They seem to have everything there and although quite pricey the quality and selection is definitely spot on. I agree with above, if you go to waitrose on Sunday about 1 to 2 pm the fish n…

I'm often under too, but nearly always over with protein. This is good cos protein is filling and the healthier one to over indulge in. Watch your sodium and fat levels, drink loads and let the rest take care of itself. Eat loads of fresh veg and avoid processed stuff. Good luck.

And don't forget the girl with the dragon tattoo and the followups.

Wolf Hall is fabulous, great in-depth study of the English reformation, Thomas Cromwell in all his glory, and very well written. Phillippa Gregory writes well too, like her 'Lady of the river' . ****ens never fails to evoke strong feelings it's true.

Oats, skimmed milk, yoghurt and a squeeze of honey, with blueberries, or raspberries. Sometimes I make porridge and skip the yoghurt, but same basics virtually every day. Very occasionally I have toast but I love my breakfast and look forward to it.

I regularly have at least 4 veg with my dinner, eg celeriac, cauliflower, broccoli and leeks, and I count them as 4 veg, but obviously log them separately , usually by weight or cup amounts or spoonfuls, depends how they come up on mfp. and I have a basic salad with my lunch, and fruit with my breakfast.

Ifvim going to have bacon, I have it grilled, with poached eggs, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms and make it my main meal of the day. But yes, I do also make sure I drink tons of water that day and the next. Life is all about balance , I reckon. Nothing is banned and everything in moderation.

I make a big pot of soup, loads of veg and lentils, and that's lunch for the week sorted. Roast chicken will last 3 meals and then use the bones for stock, then soup. Prices offers tend to be cyclical so I shop around. I use local markets and proper shops, not supermarkets as I can buy in amounts I want. Also started to…

I stick every now and then and know how frustrating it is. What usually works for me is to double the amount of water that I drink :drinker: to seriously flush out the system, have baths with a handful of Epsom salts in the water, another detoxing trick. I also totally change what i eat to fool my body, and zigzag the…

All the advise given so far is good, can I add bathing with Epsom salts in the water? It helps to detox the skin and speed water loss. Only temporary but will work for a day or two. Good luck.

If we cut everything out like this, surely it becomes a 'diet' and we're bound to break it. I'm all for changing my lifestyle and eating healthily, to me that means making sensible choices , cutting down the fats and salt, but not taking something out of my diet for ever. So, I'll have a glass of wine at the weekend, and…
