"Big Girl" isn't the issue, it's how in shape are you? "Big" people can be quite athletic, but if you're NOT athletic and you haven't been doing any type of cardio or aerobics then I would say no. I tried it when I first started to lose weight and I made it about 8 minutes into the video before I had to quit. I'm now doing…

My nephew who is 9 was writing sentences for fun, and one of the sentences he wrote was: "Kristi (me) is the fattest person alive." I was so hurt , it was stupid because he's only nine but I seriously felt like crying.

Yes, yes you are.

Thanks! I tried her video she had on her website, and this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much!! XoXo

I swim laps on my off days from the C25k. I run Monday, Wednesday, Friday for 30-60 minutes, and on Tuesday and Thursdays I swim laps for an hour. Then use Saturday and Sundays as my rest days for the week. I swim because swimming elongates muscles while running makes bulky muscles, hopefully this way I'll have the best of…

I kind of feel that if you are on a weight loss journey, and you're public about it that you open yourself up for comments from people. Whether they be good or bad you've just got to let them roll off you

I'm more of an Uh-OH! I went way over today, better go swim some of these calories off so I don't hate myself tomorrow kinda gal. But it's only on the very rare occasion. I'm with you on the people who log everything they did like it's some big accomplishment that they washed dishes or spent 8 minutes doing zumba. Every…

Water! Water! Water!!! How much are you consuming? Good chance you're holding a lot of water if you haven't increased your water as well. Also, you're probably over estimating how many calories you're burning. I always take 10% of what I think I burned.

Take the time go to a store like lady foot locker (or any other specialty shoe store) and have them measure and fit you. They will be able to find the perfect fit for your feet and stance. It's impossible for some random person on the internet to tell you the best shoe for you. Seriously, take the time and go get your feet…

How funny this came up today. Just last night I was complaining to my husband that my *kitten* is just as big as ever but yet my feet and hands are way thinner, bones, veins, tendons the works. But he pointed out if I lose 5 lbs it comes from all over my body not just hips or stomach. So when you think about how you're…

To quote Bob Harper "You're only allowed to eat a finite number of calories a day, do you really want to graze them them away when you're not hungry?" Meaning --- snacking is fine as long as you do it because you're hungry not because you're bored. Learn the difference and you're golden. As for protein shakes, I'm not a…

I feel like I am able to walk more without being in pain. My feet hurt less at the end of the day. And in general I just feel happier through out the day. I catch myself smiling all the time for no reason. The more I lose the better I feel about myself. BUT I do feel more tired. At the end of the day I fall into bed…

I'm in! 10,000 steps is right in line with my current goal, it'd be nice to have others keep me in check!

When I first started I made a goal, and mini goals. But if I didn't reach my mini goals I would hate on myself for a while and gain some weight back. Only after I got rid of the goals and just focused on one lifestyle change at a time did I start seeing results. I also have a rough idea of a goal weight, but my plan is to…

I'm in the same boat. I live in an apartment with neighbors below me, who have a 2 month old baby to go with it, so making noise for me wasn't really an option. My apartment is carpeted and even with my shoes off I tend to make a lot of noise. My solution works out perfectly for me. I went to the store picked up some…

I love your wedding dress it's gorgeous, and I love love love the quote on you page that your motivation is to be 96 and not need a walker. I share that desire.

It's based on your preferences and active levels at your job. What did you select as your daily activity? Do you have a standing up job, a sitting down job, a waitress? Do you want to lose 1lb a week or lose 2lbs a week or maintain? Everybody has a different lifestyle and different goals, MFP takes that into account and…

First and foremost, based on your current photo you look AWE-mazing! Based on that and that alone, I would tend to agree with your PT. I wouldn't drop too many more lbs/kilos, then you might start looking a little too thin for my taste. As for the coworkers, they are probably just being hateful because they are jealous.…

They make me vomit. Like clockwork 15 minutes after I take them, they come right back up. So I switched to the gummy vitamins because they stay down.

That's awesome! Good job. You better be feeling fantastic about yourself right now because that's a great achievement! Way to go!

Hope this works: I love her body, she has the same shape as I do, and shes got a smoking hot body without being a stick. If I could look anywhere Close to this I would be ecstatic

The thing that gets on my nerves the most is kind of petty, but I can't stand it when people are less than 150lbs and they comment on how "gross" or "fat" or "disgusting" they think they look. There are A TON of people on here that want/need to lose 100lbs+ and there goal weight is somewhere in or around the 130s-150s and…

I'm the same way. Absentminded snacking is what I know got me to this size. I had no clue how many calories I was putting in to my body. MFP has made me become aware of my calories, and I'm so glad because it finally put into numbers what I was doing to my body. Yeah I know reese's and beer have a lot of calories, but THAT…
