Wow that's a bit mean! The only reason I really paid the theory any notice was BECAUSE it was YOU who posted it and I know that you don't talk nonsense nor would you advise anyone to do anything that would be detrimental to our health. I have done some more research on it and can't believe how many people recommend it :) I…

I deffinately recommend reading through the books first and having a look at the programme. I got started the day I got it though - your first workout is a strength one, followed by a rest day. I think it's a great programme, I'm almost at the end of my 5th week of it now and feel so much stronger. Chalean is so motivating…

So I'm finally going to give this a go. I've been a bit scared of it up to now but I've got a week of camping next week and although I've planned healthy meals I can see me having too many cals anyway! I'm starting tonight from 5.30pm and going to see if I can manage maybe 20-22 hours on my first go, just to see how I go!…

My first one was a brisk walk after suffering from SPD during my pregnancy and it took me 46 minutes. This year I ran my first 5K in the Race For Life and did it in 25 mins!! Was really quite proud of myself too as hadn't been running for long! :) -x-

This sounds yum! Deffinately going to try this next week! :) Thanks! -x-

Hey hun, I'm in the middles of the ChaLean Extreme programme at the moment and it is REALLY good - I recommend this for strength training and if you like to follow a "set" plan :) For a kickboxing type workout have you tried Billy Blanks Tae Bo? I got a box set with 4 DVDs in it and it's really fun, Billy is easy to watch…

Sometimes I cook a few strips of chicken and cut up some carrot sticks - put them in a little tub to pick at throughout the day, the chicken has protein in it and the carrots give me the "crunch" when I need a crunchy snack :) Also - nuts! I love a handful of almonds when I'm on the go as a source of protein and healthy…

Yummmmm I totally forgot about healthy pizzas!! Going to do them for Saturday night's meal now I think! Thanks for the inspiration :) -x-x-

I have been taught that abs can be trained often, I usually incorporate them into most workouts and do a specific ab workout twice a week - I love the burn! :) Also a good point to train the back muscles in the core at the same time as they support the abs :) -x-x-

I have the Tracy Anderson Mat Workout and I really enjoy it, it's like hard work without the sweat and I deffinately feel it when I've done it! I've lent the DVD to my mum now as she wants to tone her "bingo wings" for my wedding next year and I think the arm section is FAB for toning! You really feel the burn holding your…

I did a really good detox last week. It was hard as I love my food too and the restriction did leave me feeling hungry mainly in the mornings but after the 4 days (thats all it was!) I felt great and had lost 4 lbs! I had been stuck at the same weight for 2 months so it really helped kick start my body again! If you don't…

This sounds yum! I wasted half a watermelon last week too as it was massive and I didn't get to eat it all in time! Could have made a big batch of this smoothie with it! Grrr! I have also just discovered frozen melon with my frozen grapes - mmmmmmmm wish I had some now! -x-x-

I am in the middle of Chalean Extreme at the moment and I would really recommend it for strength training! I did the 30 Day Shred which started me off with the weights etc and moving on the Chalean was a really good progression! I know it's quite expensive but maybe have a look on Ebay or Pre-loved to see if anyone is…

This happens to me all the time! I was starting to worry that there was somthing wrong with my right leg as it only happens in that foot! Glad I'm not the only one! Will try wiggling my toes a bit more as it often forces me to stop my workout earlier than planned! -x-x-

Hey, I'm almost at the end of week 3 of the Burn circuit and I'm always up for Chalean buddies! Add me as a friend hun and we can follow it together! :) -x-x-

I think it just comes down to personal preference. I have always been taught that exercising with atleast a 2 hour gap from food would burn fat quicker than if I ate before. I don't eat before my morning workouts and I don't suffer the light-headedness or anything BUT I'm not hungry when I first wake up anyway and usually…

OMG this is exactly what happened to me yesterday! It was a "rest day" so I only did 30 mins cardio and was absolutely starving in the afternoon! Kept picking at things that I wouldn't normally do! I wonder why this is?! Glad I'm not alone though! :) -x-x-

Wow this is really interesting, I am deffinately going to give this a go! I have a detox plan that I'm going to follow next week but the week after I'm going to try this! Sounds great! I can imagine already how much I'm going to look forwards to my evening meal after the fast haha. Thanks for this! :) -x-x-

I have only completed 2 weeks of the Burn Circuit and can't believe how much stronger I already am - especially noticable with push-ups (the tricep push ups I really can't get the hang of though - just end up flat on my face!) I did the whole 12 on my toes this week, when I started 2 weeks ago I could only manage 7!! So I…

I was wondering about the detox too - not that I think I have the willpower to do it! Lol But I might be willing to give it a go!! :) -x-x-

I used to do pole fitness - got some pics in my profile - it is deffinately a good strength and toning exercise but unless you do a lot of the "dancing" it wasn't a massive calorie burner. It is great fun though and although I am now selling my pole (sniffle) I do plan on getting back into it in the future! Have a look for…

Wow I have just printed off so many of these ideas - it will feed us for weeks haha! Went and stocked up on meat so that I can try some of them! I will let you know when I've tried any! Great thread! -x-x-

Made these tonight - cut it in half to make 12 cookies and it's a good job I did as I've already eaten 2 - didn't wait patiently enough for them to cool so they got a bit stuck to the baking tray (I did still scrape off the bits left though - I want all my cookie!! Lol). They are really yum! I only used the egg white and…

Oh wow, I have all of these ingredients! Going to make them later! Thanks for bringing this post back up! :) -x-x-

I've really enjoyed reading this thread! I love to hear everyone's opinions on these topics as I feel like I haven't found what works for ME yet! I've tried everything from cutting my cals down to 1000, putting them up to 1400, eating some exercise cals, not eating exercise cals.....I just haven't found what works for me…

Yum! I am going to try these next week! After baking a banana loaf/cake this week I've got the baking buzz haha! -x-x-

I have to agree with the others who say that exercising in the morning really does make you feel better all day! I LOVE my morning workouts - I didn't used to though! I was a terrible morning person! But after a week or so of literally FORCING myself out of bed to do a 30 Day Shred circuit before work I've learned to love…

Oooh I'm going to have to check those out! -x-

Just wanted to update since I made this tonight! It is soooo yummy! I made it with a bit of protein powder in with the flour and didn't have a loaf tin so its cut into "cake type" slices - still works though and get a nice slice per portion! I also used egg whites. Thanks for this - will deffinately be making it again!…

Thanks everyone! It really helps to hear other peoples views. My "rest day" activities are generally some sort of 30-40 min cardio dvd in the morning and then my 3 mile walk home from work. So it's not really as high intensity as my other workout days. I guess my body will tell me when I need a full rest day - I do…
