Wish me luck!! Anyways! I was wondering if anyone can recommend me a nice protein bar that is available in the UK - I'm…

This is true for me too! So this last 2 weeks of being lazy and hardly working out has meant I've stuffed my face! :( Damn it!! I think it is psychological - if your body is being worked hard it wants to keep up the good work and not make us want to ruin it! I just need to kick my *kitten* back into exercise mode so that…

Oh my! I am totally where you are now! And it really is pants! I decided that today I was going to "start again" but then there was cake at work - so I ate it!! Day 1 = FAIL! Then this afternoon I've had some really good news about a really worrying health-scare that I've been waiting for results of and I really want to…

I'm so glad to have found this thread! I am 5'6 and 128lbs and really only wanted to get down to 126 but I feel like I would be a bit happier if I could just get to 120 - but this seems soooooo impossible!! I've just had a bad 2 weeks of eating rubbish and hardly exercising so I really need to get my *kitten* back into…

Good idea! I'm going to do this later as I love smoothies for breakfast and never have time to make them before work! Good discovery :) -x-x-

So you're not alone! I'm glad that I've read this thread as I know what I need to do - it's ike I need someone to tell me that I need to do…

Hi Mel, When I started the 30 Day Shred I also changed my diet to a higher protein/lower carb plan and it's been really effective for me! I finished my 30 days aaaaages ago but still do a shred every morning because I love it so much! :) Good luck with it and let us know how you get on! :) -x-x-

This is a great post! I love the Alpen Light Summer Fruits bars at the moment, only 61 cals and a good "sweet" fix. I've also been snacking on Light Mini Babybels - 40 cals each and I pair it with a few carrot sticks and a hard boiled egg for a 150 cals filling snack! :) My other half also LOVES his mince so I get the…

Too much wine, choc and crisps! Tut tut!! Exercise central for me this week!! KimmyBee - how exciting about all the engagement talk! :) Fingers crossed…

I LOVE my morning workouts and I used to be the worst morning person on earth! One week I just forced myself to get up at 6am and do a 30 Day Shred before work every day and I've never looked back! I only manage a 30 min workout in a morning and usually have time to workout at either lunch or in the evening but it gives me…

Hey! I've found the same thing. I've just started doing Billy Blanks DVDs and it says that for 25 mins I would burn more than doing 1 of my 30 Day Shred workouts - which I think are harder work than the Tae Bo?! I'm interested in the answers for this question as I don't like to count all of those extra cals burned if I…

Hey hun, I often have this as my breakfast and it's yummy! I change the fruit around a bit too - sometimes an apple or a pear or banana. It keeps me full for aaaages and you can swap and change the cereal too - I sometimes have a few oats or low fat granola or Quaker Oat crisps! Really good little meal :) -x-x-

I usually have my morning workout for 30 mins which is either a 30 Day Shred, run or now Tae Bo. At lunch time I either walk home from work 3 miles or pop in to the gym for 45 mins. Then if I feel like it in the evening I'll do another Shred or DVD for 30-45 mins. It all depends what I feel like though, if I'm tired I'll…

Thanks girls! I looked on the dvd case and it says running time 400 mins! I think that means for all 4 discs! Hahaha that would be one HELL of a workout if not!! I bit the bullet and had a go this afternoon! I did he Basic Workout which ran for about 25 mins and then did the 8 minute workout which lasted 18mins with warm…

Thanks for the replies! Really glad to hear that it would be a good idea to have the shake before bed! We have the general Optimum Health protein powder that me and my partner share so I don't think the caffeine is too high (thanks for mentioning that though! I will double check on the label when I get home!) Looking…

Hey :) I'm from the UK - up in Yorkshire! Welcome to MFP it's a really great place for motivation and advice :) Hope you enjoy your time here! :) -x-x-

I workout every morning on an empty stomach, I was always brought up to think it burns fat more effectively as you have no food to burn instead. It also gives me a big wake up! Haha. I usually have a protein shake straight after my workout then a morning snack as soon as I get to work. It all depends what works for you…

Thanks hun! I bought some yesterday so will go and measure them out! I like things like this to snack on and keep handy with me so this is good! :) -x-x-

Yey! Nice to see other doing the Race For Life too! I'm excited about it, I walked it the year after having my son (and suffering severe spd which left me on crutches! So could only manage to walk) I'm excited about running it!! My little girl is walking/jogging with my friend :) hdelamore - I HATE it when that happens at…

As a fellow pole dancer I can say that each class is going to vary in cals burnt as it is a lot of strength training and at first not so much cardio - unless your classes have a lot of "dance" time, our classes are mainly trick based - spins and inverts etc. So I've never been too sure how many cals are burnt. I usually…

Oh wow didn't realise Almonds had so much protein - they are now on today's shopping list!! How many cals do they have per handful? Or what type of serving? I have been having the microwave protein cupcakes that were in the recipe section a while ago - I do make them the night before though then cut them into 3 and put a…
