You look fantastic!!! And the hair is fun, too!
-
Freaking awesome!!! I'll bet anyone who did notice you were saying to themselves "Go for it, girl! Look at you doing it!" I can't imagine not cheering on (even if silently) someone who is obviously putting themselves out there to better themselves!
-
That's awesome results! WOW! Keep it up!
-
You really do look so much better now! You look strong and healthier, which I'll bet shows not only in your body but in your "life attitude". Do people just come up to you to chat? I'll bet they do. You look like you would have the confidence and openness that would make people feel comfortable speaking to you. WTG! Keep…

1974 Plymouth Satellite. Red. I called her "Christine" after the Stephen King book. (Yeah, I know the car in the book wasn't a Satellite, but it was a red Plymouth!) I got it in 1983 and drove it until 1988.

Friday threads are the best... No mercy anywhere to be found.

That is AWESOME! I really love the success stories that show you don't have to lose a lot of weight to make a huge body transformation! Many people get so discouraged when they don't see the scale go down. I really like 30DS and Ripped in 30, too! They are kick-*kitten* routines.

I am in awe of you. You look GORGEOUS!
-
^^^ This! Awesome response.

Woot! WTG!!!!

Yes!! Peruse the "success" threads. There are SO many people that are SO inspiring! Welcome to MFP! :flowerforyou:

Some ideas that are probably elsewhere in this thread, too. 1) Set a start date. Monday always worked for me because it's after a weekend and gives me a the entire work week to get my *kitten* together! 2) Start with a schedule/structure for meal plans and exercise for at least a couple weeks. A plan up front will help you…

Mmmmm... I do loves me some chips! (Lay's potato chips... No one can eat just one!)

Donald Trump. Because, I dunno, EVERYTHING. He's breathing? LOL

^^This Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!

You look so unhappy in the 'before' pics and so AWESOME in the 'after' pics! Great job!!! I did Body for Life a number of years ago and had good results, too. Not sure mine were quite as good as yours, but I lost 18 lbs, 4 sizes, and gained a lot of strength and endurance... just in time for my wedding!
-
How wonderful! You started out doing this for your wife and realized how much it means to yourself, as well. Just awesome.

What sizes? I use dumbbells, but I had to get lifting straps to use the 40lb dumbbells to do squats. My legs and butt are always going to be stronger than my hands and arms. But, anyway, you can work your way up quite a bit with dumbbells, if you have heavy enough ones. Eventually… I'm just going to have to get a…

I don't see where you state what activity level you used in calculating your TDEE. I calculate mine using "sedentary" because I have a desk job where I sit most of the day. So, I eat TDEE plus any exercise calories I burn that day. I find this works well if your workout burn is not always consistent. However, if your…

That's amazing! What an awesome in-the-face reminder that the number certainly doesn't tell the whole story!

I don't think I'm a "food addict" or that I have compulsive behavior per se when it comes to food, but I understand what the OP is saying. I have no idea what science there is or may be behind addiction to food or behavior around food, but what I have come to realize about MYSELF is that stress is an absolute trigger for…

Why miss them? They are one of my favorite weekend "cheat" foods! (Moderation. It's all in the moderation. ) OMG This thread is the best thread EVER. Way better than the pop-tart sandwich one. (And I do love me some pop-tarts.)

WTG!! What a difference 60 days can make! Keep posting your progress. It will inspire so many people who think it will be too hard, take too long, etc. 60 days... 60 days... WHAT A CHANGE! You are AWESOME!

I eat fruit with almost every meal. In fact, nearly every meal I eat is a combo of lean protein, some veggie, some carbohydrate, and fruit, although occasionally one of those pieces will drop out of the mix. The only time I have digestion issues, in general, is when I eat and then lay down... acid reflux. But, certainly,…

LOL I sent my husband a friend request after he created a profile and he never accepted! Of course, he has zero friends on MFP, it's just a logging tool for him... when he bothers.

Kashi cereals are generally awesome. Favorites are Go Lean Crunch and Go Lean Crisp... not much for the original Go Lean. Love the Mountain Berry Granola, but I can eat WAY too much of it, so I try to avoid it. lol For a change and sort of a "treat", I like Special K Red Berries, Vanilla Almond, and Chocolatey Red…

Apples were never my favorite fruit until I happened upon Honeycrisp. YUMMY. Then, when they were out of season (at least I couldn't find them locally), I happened upon Pink Lady. YUMMY, too! Don't really care for any of the others, except on occasion a crisp, tart Granny Smith will hit the spot.

You are friggin' AWESOME! I hope I look nearly as good as you when I reach your age! Heck, I'm just trying to be a not-godawful-50!

The reason you should not eat 3 hours or less before bed has to do with acid indigestion/acid reflux. Even if you don't have problems now, if you ignore the advice, you could have problems later. I would be an example of that. It does NOT have anything to do with what your body does with the food you eat.
