I have read and reread your story multiple times. I am still in awe of you and your success. Thank you again for sharing. You are probably getting tired of people telling you what an inspiration you are, but you are changing people's lives. Even though I only have 19 more lbs to go, it feels as monumental as when I had 50…

This is a story I will never forget. I will re-read it anytime need a little extra motivation. You are amazing. Thank you.

Quoted from tnmarie: "It doesn't need to set the trend for the week. If you missed your mark today, tomorrow is a new day. One of the reasons I gained 50lbs instead of 20lbs is I just figured I am off track, might as well stay off track. Lots of water and a fresh new start tomorrow. We can do it together :) [/quote] I wish…

I alternate between High Protein Shakes and the eggs. When I'm sick of eggs, I make a shake. There are also High Protein breakfast bars (watch out for sugar though) and of course cheese as others have suggested. Good Luck.

Honestly I weigh myself twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, but I only log it once a week and I log the evening weight. I really don't know why I do it that way, but it works and so far I have seen a steady loss every week since I started on MFP. Slow and steady wins the race. Weigh yourself as much as you want…

Hi Ladies. I have been looking for a support group on MFP that I can relate to. I turned 50 in July and unlike some of my friends having crises, I have embraced it. I gladly refer to myself as a "Golden Oldie." Funny thing is, I've never been more motivated in my life to get fit, get healthy, have stamina and really truly…

Hi. I have never been able to stay on plan as I am now thanks to MFP. I have been on almost 2 months and have never missed a day. The food database is awesome. It makes it so easy to keep track and its just recently that I started participating in the community boards. This month for the first time I took on two fitness…

I'm fascinated but scared to death at the same time. I believe in paranormal. I believe there are good and bad spirits and I often ask for a white light of protection through which nothing negative can penetrate (and I haven't actually had a paranormal experience). I would so like to communicate with my mom who has passed…

You are probably not eating enough and enough times a day to keep your metabolism going. Also try changing your exercise routine. Do a brisk walk or other cardio. One more thing, if you're not drinking enough fluids your body will hold on to everything. Change things up a little and I'm sure you'll break that plateau.

I just hit my 5 mile goal thanks to Leslie Sansone and Exercise TV. It's too damn hot to walk outside in FL these days. Exercise TV is awesome. I have been so sedentary for most of my life even 5 miles was a challenge. I feel great. Next week I'm going to go for 7 miles. My goal is to do the C25k.

Wow, you are an inspiration. I was on a roller coaster ride going up and down every week for months, but since I've started MFP, it's been slow but very steady and I'm so much happier. Slow and steady win the race. Thanks for sharing your success and keep on sharing.

Hi everyone. So far I've done 4 out of 5 miles. I'll hit my goal tomorrow for sure. This last mile I did something different. I added 5 lb ankle weights to each leg. It was great and I burned nearly double the calories. Now we'll see if this translates into more lbs lost in a week. Next week I think I will up my goal from…

Thank you all for your opinion and the research. I try to drink 4 16.9 oz bottles a day. That's a little over 8 cups. Two of the four are pure water and two are usually flavored. I think I am comfortable with that. Now when I drink a can of soda or store bought ice-tea I don't count it, but the water (flavored or not ) I…

his week's mini-challenge will involve all three aspects: 1. Drink AT LEAST 8 glasses of water EVERY DAY - our bodies are primarily water and WILL NOT FUNCTION without the proper amounts. 64oz is an absolute minimum daily intake just for your body to function - so how do you expect to lose weight if your body is…

Hooray I'm there. Let the challenge begin. Thank you so much for doing this.

You are all so motivating. I'm gonna kind of tag along in case I can't officially join. Starting Weight - 157 Goal - 5 miles this week' As of 9/1 - I've done 3 miles

Hi I just saw this post. I do Leslie Sansone Cardio-Slim, Family Walk, 1-Mile Walk and yesterday (for the 1st time) 2-mile walk. These are all Leslie Sasone videos on Exercise TV on Uverse. Is it too late to join this group. How long are you doing it for and how are we tracking lbs lost.

Hi I would love some new MFP friends. I'm fairly new to the site and don't know anyone yet. I've lost 7 pounds and I'm really motivated. I just joined my first challenge and also started the exercising a little. The challenge will be to stick with it. That's what friends are for. Feel free to Add me as a friend. Talk to…

Just finished Leslie Sansone's Cardio-Slim on U-Verse Exercise TV. It's a great beginner work-out. Now I'm pumped and can't weight (pun intended) to start the September challenge. Feel free to Add me as a friend. I'm fairly new to MFP. This is my first challenge and I could use some buddies.

The biggest challenge for me will be the water. Since I've very steadily lost 1 lb/week, anything over that is a win. Can't wait to get started. Good Luck everyone.

I was on the Quick Weight Loss program for about 6 months and LOVE their Chocolate Pudding and Shake Mix, although I make it with Fat Free Milk, not water. You can purchase it online at familybariatric.com.

Coral Springs, FL... Looking for local MFP friends.

OK. Thanks very much for answering my questions. I'm gonna go for it. Count me in!

Hi. Could give me an idea of what some of the mini-challenges. I am new to this and somewhat sedentary. I just started a walking program but don't know if your mini-challenges will be too hard for me. I really want to try but I'm a little torn. Thanks.

I would like to add a question to this topic. For those who take vitamins, do you take them in the morning, evening, or at different times throughout the day?
-
I have never heard of it. I suppose i could google it. Could you tell us a little about it.

I think it's ok to eat pasta. Pasta takes up a huge amount of carbs so if you pre-plan and factor it into your day, there is no reason why you can't eat pasta.

"Don't hold yesterday's decisions over today's head." Well said. I love that line.
-
Drink extra water and get back on track. You'll be fine. Even if you don't lose a pound this week, congratulate yourself for getting back on track.

Boy this sure did stir up a lot of negativity. Personally, I only care about my weight loss and what works for me. If people are logging every breath they take and losing weight, good for them. I say don't sweat the small stuff unless of course the small stuff helps you lose weight. Have a good day one and all!
