  • Well, I'm back. After Easter with my family, a break-up (my own with my partner) and a pile of work which meant that I lost most of my motivation to go to the gym (but still kept running), I am back. I finally poked my head out of the hole I was in and realised that exercising would help me keep happy in this hard time, so…
  • Well done on the diet bet!! Sounds great!! That's very impressive.
  • OK so I am checking in after two weeks of not really sticking ot my diet as much as I should. The weekend before last was my sister's wedding interstate (try being around a Greek family and not eating a lot!!) and then last weekend was my birthday and associated celebrations. During the weeks I have mostly been pretty…
  • I'm so sorry to hear about this Tristan! This sounds very scary and a bit of a bother that you have to wait so long to see the allergist. I do hope they can find some good solutions for you when you do see them, so this never happens again.
  • So I'm finally back after several days away for my sister's wedding and to say I didn't stick to my diet while I was away is an understatement. I just went to the gym (I really had to push myself) and did exercise bike and weights and it really hurt but I'm glad I went. Too scared to weigh myself!!
  • Very happy that I lost weight again this week and just went for my longest run since I was ill last September, so I feel strong and happy! I also got under 180 pounds this week - I haven't been at this weight in about 8 years!!
  • Ok I saw this too late but will start today. I'm not going to eat any chocolate this week at all (even for my cheat meal). My sister's wedding is the weekend after next so I'm determined to get rid of a couple more pounds before then.
  • I was a bit naughty over the weekend as I ate more food than I should, but this week have been good all week. On Mon-Wed my ankles were hurting for some reason, but I didn't let that stop me and went and did cycling and weights at the gym. What's a DietBet?
  • Love this!! I've just bought a plane ticket to Europe (visiting Paris and also parts of Greece where my family live) for summer this year, so I need to get to my goal weight - only around 17 pounds to go!!!
  • Thanks so much for this, it's very helpful. To be honest, I think I just needed to get my head into it again. Today I went for an hour walk with a bit of running in the morning and then went to pilates and can't even imagine cheating with food, so I think I'm almost all of the way there, but it's hard, as we all well know.…
  • I'm so sorry to hear about this, do hope you are ok. I think your attitude is great given the circumstances.
  • I really need some help with motivation - I got back from a work trip on Saturday night and on Sunday did not follow any diet or exercise, but have exercised yesterday and today (both days I went for a run) and ate well yesterday and plan to eat well today (I don't think there's any chance I'll eat anything I shouldn't…
  • I was away for the past week visiting my parents so forgot to put my weight into the spreadsheet - but I did lose some. The issue is that I did not stick to my diet while I was away so I think there won't be a loss this week - hopefully there won't be a gain though!
  • Good job! Menu plan is such a good idea. I'm so busy this week that I'm trying to eat through what we have in our house so I don't have to go out and do a big shop. Some success so far, but when things are less hectic I am going out to do a huge shop.
  • Thank you Marcella, at the moment I feel like a have a new lease on life because I had two years of stomach issues until last year when a stomach bacteria was found - I took antibiotics to get rid of it (which were horrific!!) and now I just feel like a different person and have lost almost 8 kilos since - and am planning…
  • I love the rant! I also love to run, and will do it when it's cold (did it in the rain this morning) - it saved my sanity when I was writing my book over a year back and nowadays when I'm at home working hard, if I don't run in the morning I just feel sub-standard all day. Sorry to hear about your foot, I've had some…
  • This is fantastic, thank you!!
  • Thank you!! I have returned from Japan and must say that although i was walking around 15000-25000 steps every day, I thought I would have put on weight because I really didn't restrict myself food-wise, but I have returned and only put on 2.2 pounds while I was away. I have exercised the past two days and followed my diet…
  • Yes I do WFH (I learned something new!!) - it's hard because my job involves me sitting down quite a bit, so I just ensure that I get my 10,000 steps in every day. This often makes it easier to sit for long stretches also.
  • Thank you! We went last year and it was incredible, so I am really looking forward to it!
  • I only lost 0.2kg this week, but that I didn't put any on was a miracle as I was away for work and not eating normally (and only exercised twice). Last week I lost 3.4 pounds which is huge (and because I was ill), so hopefully I'm back on track this week. I'm going to measure my weight once more before xmas (11 December),…
  • That's a great idea. I've got a week left till we go to Japan so am really going to go hard this week because I know that although I will be working out in the hotel in Japan and walking a lot every day, I will be eating more!!
  • What's WFH? I usually eat about 1400 when i'm not sick and at the least go for a 30-45 minute walk in the morning and do weights and at the most go for a run and a yoga/pilates/zumba class in one day. This sometimes means I have to eat a bit more
  • Thank you for your reply. I'm feeling a lot better now.
  • Great to hear!! Sleep is a hard one sometimes, and sometimes it is bad and we can't do anything about it, so I wouldn't let that one get you down. Great work with the food! I've been great this week with exercise, but it's food - I had two 'cheat' meals and they were quite substantial so hopefully this isn't reflected on…
  • As for scales - I don't know if you have a Fitbit, but I use the Fitbit Aria - I love it because it automatically updates my fitbit weight and my My Fitness Pal weight (I have them connected) - it also shows fat %.
  • Thank you!
  • For some reason I don't have edit access for the spreadsheet - you may have to change the editing rights. Thanks! It looks great though!
  • This made me laugh!! I think it's a great goal!!
