It's only an indicator as it recalculates everyday so it's accuracy will depend on how consistent you are on a daily basis. If you go over your cal allowance on a given day, you go into RED NEGATIVES anyway so I don't feel it really adds value if you are still losing weight, I agree it just reconfirms what you already…

Did MFP prompt you to recalc your daily cals as you lost? and did you? normally prompts a re-assessment after every 10lbs lost so you may need to reduce down a little.

Gr8 timing on your post as I hit the 30 lbs lost mark TODAY :D It has taken me 10.5 weeks and I am nearly 50% of the way through to GW. I hit a BMI of 30 today too - it's all about the 30's !

Because weighing can get quite monotonous :S I tend to weigh the foods that are high cals e.g. pasta, rice, cereals, pulses, nuts and don't worry too much about weighing any veg.

Congrats and thanks for the UK conversion (saves my mental arithmetic) ;) Pic is great. You may just need to spend more time on toning rather than losing more weight if you've not been doing that in your exercise regime. Good luck though and congrats on getting to goal.

I started at 233 and am trying to get to 168 so a good reference to see your loss although as you're a 'young' thing, I'm not sure I'll be quite as toned at GW, lol! Thanks for reminding me about the urine colour thingy! that is indeed a very good guide and probably better than the MFP '8' cups a day as I'm never sure if that means a vending cup or a tall glass or what sized cup!
