  • I added you as a friend and I need a few friends myself. I am 46 a stage IV cancer surviver, celiac patient and now menopause. I need all the friends that I can get who understand what I'm going through. I think it's good when you two or more can work together to get through struggles. I know my husband would truly…

  • I hate that you all have to deal with this but I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I had lost almost 100lbs after a bought with Stage 4 canceer and maintained it for 4 years. I was then diagnosed with celiac disease and as soon as I learned to deal with that I move into this stage of my life and I'm craving sweets (I've never…
  • Yep this is me I lost from 269 -170 after a Stage IV Cancer bounce back. I kept most of it off for 4 years. Now that the ugly Menopause bug has got me and I've gained 20 lbs and I don't like it. I have no energy and I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle. I'm not a quitter though so I hope we will get some solid help…
  • Learned something new thanks for the help. (*)
  • When I travel for work I do my best to stay in an extended stay. They are not any more expensive per night than a regular hotel and they are a small suite complete with kitchen.
  • Congratulations! Keep it up and keep sharing it inspires the rest of us :)
  • I'm GF because of Celiac Disease..I am getting really good at it. But as far as this discussion the fad has helped and hurt. Helped bc we were given more options but hurt because of the cost. I find that restaurants are starting to take it much more serious. I have had several occasions where the chef has came out and made…
  • I don't know where you are from Kramrn but one of the best places to find Gluten free substitutes is Big Lots or where ever you can find Bob's Redmill. Walmart is starting to carry a really good line of Gluten Free products as well in the Great Value line.
  • I was diagnosed a year and a month ago. It has been a learning experience for sure. Now that I have that under control I find my weight creeping back up. Don't have as much IBS so I don't just keep it off that way. With Celiac I'm tired a lot and have had to have Iron infusions. My intestines won't absorb it orally either…
  • Quinoa is also a good choice and it takes on the flavor of anything you add to it. This is a great website for ideas. http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2008/09/quinoa-rice-side-dishes.html
  • Hi my name is Wendi, I am 44 years old 5'10" and currently teeter between 185-190 lbs. After my fight with cancer I gained up to 270 lbs and I was miserable. I didn't like myself any more it took some time for thyroid and other things to start working again but I got back on track. I have been on a constant roller coaster…
  • Here are a few of my faves Tilapia Chicken Greek Yogurt Beans Eggs Ground Turkey and a few others I just can't think of right now
  • Ok I'm 5'10" and my SW was 270 I am down to 189 and my goal weight is 175-180 depending on tone. When I was going thru chemo a few years back I got down to 166 and looked like a holicost survivor so there is such a thing as big bones. At my current weight I wear size 10's when I started out at size 24. So just get where…
  • I am getting ready to turn 44 and a little over 3 years ago I started my weight loss journey and lost 90 lbs. Now since pre menapause I am having a terrible time keeping it off and the tummy flab is driving me crazy. I just restarted fitness pal so I am glad that there are others going through similar challenges and I'm…
  • I am 5'10 and currently at 188 and have a medium build. I have already lost from 259 and went from a size 22 to a sizes 10 and 12's. I would like to get into single digits once in my life but I seem to be stuck. I teater between 182 and 188 so I decided to try something different after 4 months of no real progress. But I…
