  • I get way more hungry doing cardio. It’s so bad! Don’t get me wrong, I get hungry with strength too, but not like cardio.
  • “There is no substitute for strength, and no excuse for the lack of it.” Cardio: Pushed my toddler in her cozy coup/pulled my toddler and 10 years old son in a wagon he could barely fit in/ walked circles in our driveway and street all while hubby grilled on the pit for 30 min. Burned 137 cals. Strength: Rest day, unless…
  • Pushed my daughter in her cozy coup car/walked circles/pulled my toddler and 10 year old son who could barely fit in the wagon all on our driveway and street while hubs grilled on the pit! Here’s my fall decorations on my porch that I passed by a gazillion times. Also, great job everyone!! We are kicking this challenge’s…
  • I could’ve written your original post!!! In high school (2001 grad) I weighed 118 at 5’7”. I have been with my husband since then. When I got pregnant I was 23 and weighed 145. Never lost baby weight due to desk job so by then was 182. Gained up to 198 because food days at work, a lot of fast food at home. Had a…
  • Ok so apparently I don’t know how to make the bold turn off for the next word. Sorry guys. :#
  • Thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome! • @crazycatlady. I could’ve posted this SAME photo everyday for the past week! I finally folded and hung all the clothes this morning, otherwise my daughter wouldn’t be napping on that couch. I’m glad I’m not alone!
  • Walked inside my house today because daughter was napping and I had to be home for my son to get home from school. Burned 131 calories! Here’s pics from my walk. Yes, yes that is a bag of potato chips my son is eating right in front of me while I walk.
  • 1. She is so precious!! 2. Welcome to the group. I have a 2 year old so I know how hard it can be to even get away for 30 minutes. I usually try pushing my daughter in her stroller around nap time. She sleeps while I walk most of the time. 3. You can either donate your candy to a local daycare. I know they keep stuff like…
  • There isn't a perfect workout. There's workouts that are perfect for you. The key for sustainable exercise through life is to do workouts you can do. I've definitely had to trim back the intensity I used to do back in my 40's because recovery time is longer now, yet, still stay in great shape. [/quote] Thanks, this makes…

  • Hey 15 min is better than nothing! Good job!
  • I’m also Texas here! I’m in Groves. It’s close to Port Arthur and Beaumont.
  • Thanks! I’m a beginner so if you have any suggestions on my workouts I’m posting, feel free to let me know! I have done a lot of research and my husband has been working out off and on since high school (now in his mid 30’s) but we both do not know everything. He’s never had to lose weight like me so it’s a different…
  • Also liking all of the photos!
  • She’s a mess but a perfect little mess. :)
  • Ground meat, mushroom and sweet potato hash with broiled asparagus and corn.
  • I see this thread has been going on for quite some time. That’s amazing! I hope you all wouldn’t mind if I joined in? I just started strength training Monday so this would really encourage me to stick with it and maybe get some pointers along the way. CARDIO: walked for 33 minutes pushing my 31 pound toddler in her…
  • Walked 33 minutes around the neighborhood pushing my “walking” partner in her stroller. Burned 257 calories! Here’s a picture of my walk!
  • Maybe you quit because before you felt like you had a goal to run this half marathon and once it was over, you let your guard down. You might need to set yourself up some new goals to be able to stay on track. To hold you accountable. Like another run coming up or buy an outfit that is a size or two smaller that you want…
  • I just started strength training Monday. I found a beginners workout plan on bodybuilding.com. It has 3 different plans to choose from. You can either do one of the plans 3 times a week or you can do a different one each time 3 days a week. I chose to do plan A 3 times a week because I felt like all of the moves were on my…
  • This seems like a very achievable goal, I’m in! I didn’t walk today because it poured down rain all day. I do have a gym membership however it doesn’t have childcare and my husband wasn’t able to watch our 2 year old today. I will just have to walk laps IN my house on these kinds of days instead. I will start tomorrow!…
  • Stunning transformation! You are rocking that outfit! I needed to hear this today. I’m feeling very hungry today and with dinner prelogged along with everything else I ate today I am barely under my calorie number. I am going to stay strong today because of this post! Amazing thing what you did!
  • I just recently became a stay at home mom since March. Until then, I worked 40 hours a week for 16 years. I missed my kids and I felt I had no time for anything. I was living a robot life in a rush. I have one child in school and the other is 2. My husband shift works so he’s not even home a lot of evenings. While I LOVE…
  • Thanks for the lookout everyone. I appreciate the honesty! Most of the workouts on the plan were only 1 set. There were a couple that were 2 sets. I did 3-5 sets depending on the machine. I also didn’t have a lot of weight. I did what I could comfortably without shaking towards the end. I’m so excited to get in there and…
  • I know I posted one already today but I have one more. I went to the gym and did the machines instead of the treadmill. I’ve been wanting to do this for the past couple of weeks but hadn’t worked up the nerve. I found a workout I liked on bodybuilding.com for women on a beginners level and did my thing and left. It felt…
  • Last night I was craving something sweet. I looked around in the pantry trying to see what I could eat with the remaining 123 calories I had left for the day. I REALLY wanted some chocolate candy. I ended up having a small mandarin orange for only 40 cals and it cured my sweet tooth and I still came in under my limit!
  • Breakfast: egg muffins with mushrooms, bell pepper and tomatoes with a side of fresh fruit Lunch: meal prep- roasted chicken, broccoli, tomatoes, red onion, zuchinni on top of brown rice Dinner: Homemade chicken and dumplings. Forgot to take a pic.
  • I agree I like walking. I absolutely hate running. Never been a runner. Dancing ballet is my all time favorite exercise and I found a barre workout on you tube, but it’s not something for everyday. Also I’m not a spring chicken anymore and have been out of the ballet scene for 16 years so it’s not as easy to do. Plus my…
