THAT'S amazing, Jill. What a transformation if people don't recognize you! So where are the before and after pics? Will we recognize you?

I stopped thinking in negatives terms about Lent. I've decided to do positive things; i.e., volunteer in the community, eat healthier, drink my water, exercise properly. We can accomplish the same goals by "giving something up." It works better for me if I don't psychologically deprive myself of something but try to do…

3-2-1 cake. Take the dry ingredients from a box of angel food cake. Take the dry ingredients from any other cake mix you like. Mix them together and store in a ziploc-type bag. When ready for a "piece" of cake, here comes the 3-2-1 part: Take 3 TBSP of cake mix Take 2 TBSP of water Mix them in a coffee cup Put them in the…

A gal at my work did Medifast and gained all the weight back and then some. Like the others have said, there are healthier ways to lose the weight. Seriously, if you log into MFP and connect with some friends for motivation, this is very successful. Good luck with whatever choice you make.

You people are good! I have never laughed so much about any thread topic!

I am walking from Omaha, NE to Times Square. I've already made it to Des Moines, IA and am now on my way to Davenport, IA. Not 2,012 miles but it's a good goal for me.

You are an inspirational and phenomenal young lady. Congratulations on overcoming a bad year. :flowerforyou:

You did the right thing. She will think of what you said and some day will realize you were trying desperately to help her. :flowerforyou: People just do not have the right to keep complaining about something and not do anything about it. I'm with you on the tough love.

I've done the "lift the weight you've lost." I was going to put 24# worth of weights in a backpack and walk on the treadmill. I had to stop twice on the way into the building from my car just carrying the darned weights - they were too heavy. You are right, THAT was on my butt! That is an amazing and fun reality check. I…

L, take 15# worth of weights and carry them in a backpack for a few days. You will realize just how successful you really have been. I am of the belief that you do not deprive yourself. Have a piece of pizza. Have some pasta (Dreamfield's is carb smart and is just like our original white pasta). Have some half and half.…

I also did WW many years ago, MANY years ago and was very successful. Since then I refuse to pay money to lose weight. MFP is fabulous and free. I have been very succesful here. There is a lot of support here and you can also come here to give support. If you stay with it, you will be successful. The logging of food is key…

Congratulations, Linda. I was reading another thread today that expressed the same concern. This person was told to up her calories and a lot of people chimed in with agreement. I will be interested in reading about your experiences from this point on with maintaining. Best wishes for continued success. :flowerforyou:

Congratulations! :flowerforyou: That is a goal of mine, also - to be overweight! 20 more pounds and I'm there!

Maya, that is excellent that you are rewarding yourself. I am not very good at rewarding myself so I don't have any particular plans for a treat. I will be taking a week off when our grandson is born (due on the 20th) to help my daughter and baby. Her husband works nights. I'm thinking that's going to be a challenge in…

Pace yourself for the marathon not the sprint. You're fine. :flowerforyou:

A proper diet and exercise will provide all of the cleansing you need. My doctor said doing a colon cleanse upsets the natural "flora and fauna" of our system. That was good enough for me.

Nice, lovely transformation you butterfly! What an appropriate treat for yourself. :flowerforyou:
