  • You have been so friend requested! So I'll be honest. I'm sitting here eating take out pizza. However, I'm finally learning the trick of moderation. I'm 36 yr old who still feels like I'm in my mid-late twenties. I've been on this roller coast since I was 12 or so off and on, but most have been pretty over weight. I lost…
  • you haven't posted a pic yet
  • Done! Whoo Hoo! I just set up our first challenge! Such a GREAT idea TaraTLC83! ** Oh Ya, Bump **
  • Great Idea! I haven't gotten my copy yet (tomorrow I think). I'm "Jr Babycakes", hope to see ya!
  • I have Xbox with Kinect and the first Dance Central... I've been tempted by both Zumba and Just Dance 3, but haven't made the "leap" so to speak. I also have Fitness Evolved, but just don't really like it as much as I thought I might.
  • I love it! So true for me too :-)
  • Is there a cardio exercise for dance?

  • I know not what you asked about, but I had to put in my two cents when I read this... I think this is a fabulous reward for you and the family. The family will get years of joy looking back at wonderful photos taken with this camera you earned with you hard work. Good luck with the whole shabang!
  • Zone, Dark Chocolate and Almond. It's like having a candy bar for lunch, but with nutrients :-P LOL
  • Well, I'm not qualified to argue with a certified nutritionist and I agree with eating more protein than the federal guidlines advise, but WOW... That's alot of protein to try and take in... That's like 5 servings of Egg Beaters in the morning ;-P. If you figure out good meals with this ration, let us know ! Nitka
  • Congrats Syd! That sounds like a blast! I do know the feeling a little, but I don't have the difference you do! You are an inspiration to us all! Blessings, Nitka
  • Thank you for posting that life story! How true that is, and I often feel the same way... I will keep your story in mind when I start feeling that way!
  • Just to play devil's  advocate... Doesn't rice grow? Wouldn't that make it something similar? LOL  I too have never been on a blind date, unless hubby surprising me and refusing to say where we're going counts :blushing:
  • The original calorie goal already includes a deficite for weight loss at the rate you chose, if you are exercising on top of that, you probably should eat those calories also. Otherwise, you may cause your body to go into starvation mode because it's not getting enough. *** Disclaimer: I am only a fellow weight loser, not…
  • Ditto!!! Love your profile pic too!
  • I've had mine for about a year (my mio) and it's okay. It's great for calculating calories on things that I can't use my geo-tracker for. However, I have a heard time getting it to read my heart beat most of the time. It's very picky about if your moving not working. By the time it registers, my heart rate has gone down…
  • I was on depo for over 3 years when it was brand spanking new (ya, that long ago LOL). I did gain around 40 lbs, but I really may have anyways, I come from a long line of fatties and had just become roommates with my boyfriend. I would love to blame it all on the depo, but now know that I can't because i gained more long…
  • I'm not an expert, only stating my own case. I normally get plenty, but tried bulking up because everyone in the office was sick. I was taking a vit c tablet that was 1000% your daily allowance on top of what I was eating for about 5 days and I got canker sores (not the cold sores or the herpes virus) on my tongue. Within…
  • ** Disclaimer: I am not an expert ** The calorie goal that MFP gives you is already deducting the calories needed to lose weight. If you exercise on top of that, you should eat at least some of those calories. I've "heard" many things, but this was learned from both my personal trainer and my doctor. If you don't, you may…
  • That was great! Thanks for sharing!!!
  • Great Job! I especially love that your smiling in your before AND after shots and wearing similar outfits! It really shows your success!
  • I'm not a cheesecake fan, but it sounds like I could sub any flavor. What was the calorie count? I may have to try this :-) Thanks for sharing!
  • We're having homemade pizza's made with pita bread instead of crust. Usually have turkey pepperoni, Canadian bacon, cheese, spinach, and a tiny bit of light alfredo sauce. I haven't calculated the calories for awhile, so we'll see... Probably have a Cesar salad with it.
  • You are AWESOME!!! I love how you talk about the stretch marks and skin, coming to terms with that has been hard for me. I get mad at myself for ruining myself. But then I get over it :-P Somethings just can't be changed. I think you have a few great things in your favor too... Your skin will heal and tighten up some more…
  • That was beautiful!
  • I really like what your saying here, but I have to add to that. For me at least, it's not "just" portion control, but about all of my choices. I'm such a picky eater, I'd stick with cheese, potatoes and meat if I could (and the fattier the better). I've been on this roller coaster of "Lifestyle Change" for almost 5 years…
  • I agree with hyde1977. Maybe take a few walks or work out a bit longer earlier in the day to make up for it.
  • I'm no expert, but I have never seen any evidence that made me believe any detox liquid diet could be good for you. Seriously before you consider anything drastic, even big calorie reductions, you should talk with your Doc. KrissyChefBaby, I looked up the Lemonade Diet just because I had not even heard of it, here's a link…
  • How far is too far? Previously I lost 40 lbs (unfortunately I've gained a little over half back) by doing a Medical Weight Loss plan that actually encouraged lots of protein. I was getting about double what MFP shows my daily recommendation to be with great results. It was similar to Atkins, but with some carbs. Only…
