hang in there girlfriend!! just go easy on yourself. its ok if you don't log. sometimes taking care of ourselves is just doing whats best in the moment. do you have any support? friend? family? grief support group? a local church or hospital I'm sure has them you should try one. just one. ((hugs)))

yes I've lost 50 pounds simply eating at a caloric deficit. thats it.
-
yes cal in cal out. yes it means that you burn more calories off than you eat. you could be overestimating food. are you weighing it? and counting every morsel? you could be overestimating how many calories you are really burning exercising. how are you determining how much you're burning during exercise?

by not depriving yourself. plan for the burger and fries. or burger and salad one day. and salad and fries another day. these foods won't be so elusive to us when we allow ourselves to just have them

my one piece of advise which that book will help you to understand. is in order to stop binging you need to understand why you are binging in the first place. and its not because you like food so much.

good for you! read Breaking Free from Emotional/Compulsive Eating by Geneen Roth. she writes fantastic on the subject. and its a quick read. this book was a game changer for me.

you could just do little snacks. like crackers, fruit, granola bar, dry cereal. or freeze a yogurt stick and it should be ok by lunch. either thawed or still partially frozen which is fine too. freeze a water bottle that could act as a freezer pack and they'll have cold water!

i think its different for everyone. I've accepted for now that I'm just not big into exercising. so i don't force it and try to make the little things count. like actively playing with my kids, parking far, walking when i can or taking the long route. I've lost 50lbs and not much has changed in my feelings about…

jillian michaels 30 day shred level 1 but i see everyone commenting on this fitness blender will have to look for that one

you can't out exercise a bad diet. so tracking your food and knowing how much your eating is key to weightloss. stop comparing every body is different. to tame down cravings i try not to deprive myself, i incorporate the foods i like and make them at home so they are healthier. if I'm eating things i like cravings seem to…

I've kept 50 lbs off since august. i need to lose another 50 still but maintaining what I've lost already since august. for the first time in my life i might add.

i would disregard any advise or diet that suggests absolutes. i.e. eliminate or "Cut out" this or that.
-
nice!
-
i don't even know where to start on this one. lol

you only deserve something when you lose weight?
-
you can't be serious.

don't feel ashamed. there is an exquisitely good reason for the binge. work on analyzing what that was all about, what led up to it. don't feel bad you are working on it. after a binge just go back to making healthy food choices don't deprive yourself, you don't deserve to be punished. i skip that weigh-in that week. just…

I've seen discussion after discussion and article and article on this topic. it all depends its unique to everyone. it depends on how long you were overweight and how much overweight, the kids and pregnancy factor in, and genes how elastic your skin is, and age. the best general tips I've gathered is all you can do to…

how much do you have to lose total. how many calories are you eating a day. are you weighing everything? tracking everything? are you exercising? how much?
-
i don't believe in cheat days. its turns food into good and bad. you should treat yourself regularly and in control. food shouldn't be off limits. i think learning how to incorporate the foods and indulgences that you love is part of the journey and the "Change" for the long haul. but that is just my philosophy.
-
good advise already. my two cents if you are hungry, like belly hungry you won't stick to this long term. up your calories so its doable. with exercise you should be eating more. good luck
-
i think I'm an apple shape, but i still carry weight in my thighs
-
it probably depends on where you are losing weight. i was right around the 20-25 lbs before i looked like i lost weight. hang in there! measurements like others suggested is a good idea.
-
yes, i "bank" my calories from time to time to for weekend splurges. or exercise on weekends to "earn" more calories.
-
agreed. i keep seeing huge calorie burns which seem unrealistic. people tend to over estimate their exercise burn. just be conservative about how many calories you actually burned.
-
awesome! what an inspiration!

WATP is great. i actually love Jillian Michaels 30 day shred level 1. you can search youtube for it. its a great full body 30 min workout.
-
yes the food scale after years of other methods was a game changer for me
