  • what really helps me is water. 1/2 my body weight in water or more every day. i noticed water doesnt really curb my appetite if its not at least 1/2 my body weight. i drink a lemon water every morning first thing. i squeeze 1/2 a lemon in a 25 ounce water. i drink that before i eat anything. it just sets the day it seems.
  • weigh once a month and read up how your body loses/gains weight and water, etc. its a moment in time. so it doesnt emotionally derail you weigh once a month until you can understand your body better.

  • get a spiralizer. google it. its makes like noodles. you can use up a lot of zucchini this way. i use it like pasta or in a stir fry dish. so good. it just sort of adapts whatever flavor you put it with.

  • mmm empanadas. when i eat things like this i usually log by ingredients rather than "empanada" cause you don't know in MFP how they made it. like ill log the crust, meat, cheese and any other caloric ingredient. for this one i would use pie crust to log the calories that will be comparable.

  • i love that whole philosophy. and i would hope one day to be able to eat that way. i do practice a bit of mindful eating mostly when i want to eat something when I've eaten already. like understanding head hunger v. belly hunger. i still use MFP to keep me on track.
  • years ago i did. they tasted good. however it wasn't sustainable and i eventually gave it up. I'm not sure i even lost weight on them i don't think i did it long enough to know. but if you're at a caloric deficit you will lose weight regardless of the slim fast shake or not.
