  • Well, when I first got my license, my weight was about 20 lbs lower on my license than I actually was. That was 2008. It is now reersed. I am 20 lbs lighter than what my license reads.
  • Well, one time my cousin was over and he was outside about to get a dip of chewing tobacco. He ended up dropping his can on the ground, and the dog I had at the time ate it up and was begging for more. That same dog also stole my brother's 1/2 lb solid chocolate bunny after he dropped up and before being able to pick it…
  • The first thing is to tell yourself that you are there for yourself, nobody else. It shouldn't matter what others think about you when you are working out. I know that doesn't help much, because I am in the same boat more or less. When I am trying to do some jogging/walking and a car passes by I worry what they think of me…
  • I am up around Seattle area! I was wondering if it was just my imagination that things seemed to slow down before I am ready, glad to know I am not the only one who noticed this.
  • I would say avoid video games and television! Keep spending time outside! Do your schoolwork!
  • While there is nothing that feels quite as nice as having a physical book in your hands, I must say that I enjoy my Nook tablet a lot. It is not always practical to carry 5 or 6 books with me, so the e-Reader is great. I thought I wouldn't be able to stand it when I got it, but after playing with it for a while I find I…
  • Thanks for the posts! I do not have health insurance yet. About 3 or 4 pay checks away, so about 2 months. Once I get health coverage, I plan to see what sort of options I have for personal trainers who are not affiliated with the Y. The only way to get one or two sessions there is group sessions, which eliminates the 1 on…
  • I actually have considered a personal trainer. They have a few of them at the Y that I can talk to. Sometimes they have discounted rates like a free 13th session when you pay for 12. Problem is it still costs a little too much right now. I am trying to save up for it, but I don't think I will have enough for a few sessions…
  • So, I will be saving up for an HRM. I found a way to get music off my mp3 player onto my computer, and then get music from my computer to the mp3 player. It is syncing as I type this. The problem I had was that Windows Media Player was not opening to show any of the music in my library, which naturally means I could not…
  • Thanks for the ideas! I had an iPod classic at one time, and the ear buds they had were okay, but not great. I didn't like how cheap they were, because sometimes they would get stuck in my ear while the rest of the cord came out. I need something like that, but made more durable so the end doesn't come off in my ear. The…
  • Just found something regarding my mp3 player. My problem was that Windows media player was not opening at all for me, but it has access to my iTunes library. Well, it finally opened and I can connect my mp3 player and sync it up. Now, just need a new set of headphones and an arm band or something for it so kt isn't in my…
  • Really? Nobody?
  • I am currently reading: Complete Sherlock Holmes 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea 1633 Catching Fire Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (again) The Prince I think that is it at present.
  • The scale is a tool, just like a hammer or a saw is a tool. Some people are perfectly content never using an ax or a shovel, and it works for them. Others use a hammer a couple times, bang their fingers each time, and say never again. My point is, every tool has a purpose but may not be needed by every single person. Every…
  • Thanks for that idea! I need to get my bike back in ride-able condition. There is so much I need to do! It used to hurt my back and my sciatica acted up when I tried to ride it before, but that affects me less and less, so it may be a viable option to try now! Swimming doesn't work well for me. My back seems to hurt more…
  • I knew I forgot to address some things in the top part of my post! These questions are what I was going to address actually. Thanks! Water: I have tried several approaches. Almost no water: Didn't work too well. Still had build up of phlegm, but lungs burned a lot more a lot quicker. 1 to 2 cups: Able to cough more of it…
  • I don't really think I consume that much dairy. I have a cup of milk in my oatmeal, and I may have an ounce or two of cheese on occasion, but other than that I typically ignore it. Unless it is already in something such as hot pockets. I was doing weights for a while, but found my muscles would be sore for several days to…
  • I stick it in my oatmeal in the morning. 2 tablespoons peanut butter, 1 cup 2% milk, and half a cup of oats for breakfast usually gets me a good start for the day and is 470 calories. My sister complains she always wakes up thinking there are no bake cookies that were made!
  • For me, grits beats out oatmeal. That being said, I do eat both, but I can eat neither plain. Grits have to have butter and cheese. Oatmeal has to be cooked with milk, not water and then it has to have other flavors. Lately I have been adding a couple tablespoons of peanut butter. Maybe toss in a small amount of maple…
  • My problem is that I will be hungry, but nothing sound appetizing. Not in the mood for sweet, salty, bitter, savory, nothing. So I will go for some water, but that just makes me feel worse. Sometimes in these instances I skip a meal, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I force myself to eat something depending on what I had to…
  • When I feel hungry before bed, I tend to go for vegetables. I prefer a stalk of celery with a touch of peanut butter, since that gives fiber plus protein. If I don't have celery, I go for broccoli. I try to stay away from fruits or anything with sugar because sugar just before bed tends to give me nightmares more…
  • I would have to say eyes. Color does not matter much, though prefer blue or green. What is most important is that they show intelligence and a quick wit. After eyes come the smile and hair. The hair should help accentuate the eyes, making them stand out more while also fitting in with the rest of the face. The smile also…
  • I have currently lost 8 lbs. My current goal is to lose about 107 lbs more. I may aim to lose more, depending on how I feel when I get to my initial goal weight. My BMI (which I know is not always accurate), suggests I still have between 122 and 169 lbs to lose. We shall see when I reach my initial goal weight!
  • 28 soon. I am on every day, logging everything. I try to be supportive when I can, but don't like to just repeat what others have posted on people's logs. Feel free to add me if you like!
  • Bacon in 60 Seconds All Dogs go to Bacon Iron Bacon Cheech & Chong's Up in Bacon
  • 28 in a couple weeks! Though I look like I still belong in high school...according to some people anyway.
  • I stopped paying attention to it, since every day is not like today. It would get boring eating the same thing every day, doing the same exact exercises every day, etc. That number means you have to burn the exact same number of calories every day, and eat the exact same number of calories. It just isn't worth it to me to…
  • I got Kazuomi Ota from Japan competing in weightlifting.
  • I have been one of those people who came on at one time, got discouraged because I wasn't seeing results, quit for a while, then joined again, stayed longer, but quit because of a lack of results. No notice that I was stopping or anything. This is my third time, not going to quit because of a lack of results. I don't know…
