Feel free to add me. My SW 258, Current weight 135. It took many many years to get where I am now. I've gained and lost weight like a roller coaster and finally found my niche in challenge groups. They keep me motivated and provide me the support and accountability that I need.

My suggestion is that you figure out a way to make eating healthy and being fit a lifestyle. If you continue to feel it is a struggle, you will never stick with it long term and this end up gaining the weight back. I did the lose and gain roller coaster for years. I too, love to bake and cook. After many trials and errors,…

I am part of challenge groups that consist of other women who are just trying to improve their health and fitness. We are basically an online support and accountability network for each other. The groups are private so no one but the members can even find the groups. It is a safe place to go to ask questions, vent…

I just completed a full cycle of 22minute Hard Corps and loved it; I had awesome results (see picture) and other than the equipment you already have, you can do it all. I would suggest Hammer & Chisel but like Body Beast, it requires quite a bit of extra equipment as well. Do you currently have a beachbody coach or are you…

Wal-Mart; as much as I despise the store it has large containers of chia seeds for around $8. They are in the baking aisle.

I've tried many different shakes some keep my feeling full, many do not. The one I am using now keeps me full and satisfied until my next meal and it is only 160-180 calories depending upon what I mix in with it.

I have seen the most success for me in the last 5 months by doing just that. I get in multiple short workouts throughout the day including walks on my lunch break and afternoon break. I just keep deodorant in my desk drawer at work and like you said: wipe down myself the best I can. If you find that that is what works best…

I have a Polar Loop and have worn it for water aerobics many times and it does an excellent job of tracking my activity while in the water. :)

Hi, When I started my weight loss journey I was 258lbs, I'm not 135lbs; my journey started almost a decade ago. My profile picture is my most recent results with the before being January 2016 and the after just a few weeks ago. Check your message inbox, I sent you some more info! Jes

Been there too. You've got to be able to find what your triggers are, what makes you go right back to that weight and then eventually workout a healthy lifestyle that you can actually live with. It took me years to figure out mine; I went from 258lbs to 135 back to 155 back to 135 back to 155 and finally I've been able to…

I work 12hour night shifts, 7pm to 7am, every 2 weeks (I work rotating ****s). I also workout before I go to work because by the time I get home I am completely exhausted and read to go to bed. I wake up, drink a glass of water, workout, usually finish with a 1/2 all natural protein smoothie and then start getting ready…

Eggs, as others have mentioned. You can make them a hundred ways adding veggies, fresh salsa's, etc. Whole grain, unprocessed oatmeal is always a good one. We like to add fruit to our oatmeal to make it different; same for cream of wheat. They make both of these as pure grain, no sugar added. There are also a few cereals…

1lb ground turkey 1 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp sea salt I also like to add sauteed onions and minced garlic; to taste. It helps keep the burgers juicy! Simple and delicious.

I agree w/ the previous poster. We do half and half because plain cauliflower mashed still always tastes like cauliflower.

I didn't eat baked sweets alot when I was heavy and since having started my journey 5 years ago I have cut them out almost completely. I had a few bites (maybe 3) of my husbands cupcake a few weeks ago, it was a larger cupcake so no, the 3 bites was not the entire thing, lol. And my stomach was sick the rest of the day.…

I'm not sure any of us can answer this for you. It all depends on the size of the slice of pizza, the thickness of the crust, the type of cheese used (provolone, mozzarella, cheddar, a blend of any of these), etc. A slice of thin crust is going to be less, than a slice of thick crust ... and depending on what part of the…

On the days I don't workout I get up at 5am: that is enough time to shower, get myself ready, pack lunches for the family, get the kids up and ready for school, and get everyone and myself out of the house by 7:30. On the days I do workout: I try to get up at 4:30, I usually get a 30-35minute run in on the treadmill (it is…

1st is that your net calories or how much you eat total? If that is total you might not be eating enough, don't forget to log your calories burned from exercise so you know how much you have to eat back. You should net at a minimum 1200 calories a day, and that is the bare minimum. 2nd: try mixing up your routine. Either…

I was just going to suggest the Biggest Loser DVD's. I own a few of them and my personal favorite is "The Last Chance Workout" DVD. It has 3 routines, 1 cardio, 1 upper body, 1 lower body and of course a warm up and cool down. You can follow the 6 week program that the DVD lays out for your or you can mix and match which…

I've heard the couch to 5K program is a great place to start. I've researched it and plan on starting it myself. I love cardio DVD's but am not a runner and need to be for my new job. Also, don't forget to do exercises to strengthen your legs and abs; frankly every other part of your body. You need strong muscles to run…

That moment when I was on the treadmill (at home thankfully) and realized my underwear was the only thing covering me up because my exercise shorts were under my butt bcause they were so big.

It took awhile for my husband to get on the same page as I am. When I met him I was already well along on my journey of healthy eating and exercising. He was the guy who ate whatever, whenever and sat at the bar most nights because it was better than going home. He cut the bar out pretty quickly but it took some time for…

I have a treadmill and a Gazelle Air Walker but neither are needed to get a good workout at home. I also have a set of bands and some free weights and a whole bunch of DVD's that I use in rotation to keep things interesting. My DVD's range from Tae Bo to Jillian Michael's to Biggest Loser, to Pilates and more. You name it,…

My kids share a kids portion at the Olive Garden, they give you a very large kids portion so I wouldn't worry about being hungry if you order it. I usually get a lunch portion and immediately box half of it up before I start eating so I have lunch for the next day.

I'm also a big fan of the popcorn, if it's air popped you can have a lot of simpley buy the lightly butter. Raw veggies Pretzels, If I'm having a salty moment I like the mini twists because you get 23 for 100calories and I eat them 1 at a time. I feel like I've had a ton by then. Mini Quaker Rice Cakes Along with…

I think this depends on how sick you are, where you want to work out, and what you plan on doing. If you feel like working out, and you are working out at home, then go for it. I usually try to get in atleast a walk on the treadmill unless I am really sick. Then I rest and focus on getting better, but as previous poster…

I'm with the previous posters, I usually work my core while working all the other muscles. I would consider trying some standing core exercises (yes they exist) and maybe talk to your doctor about how to begin strengthening your core if you are in pain and have had surgery in the past you may have to go about it in a…
