On Monday night, I dropped my BF off at the airport for a weeklong trip to Florida for work. On the way home, I immediately dropped by Del Taco and got $4 order of beef Macho Nachos- I was expecting something in par with the rinky-dink Nachos Bell Grande from Taco Bell. Good lord, this dish was HEAVY and HUGE. And despite…

Zebra cakes were way better than any of those!

This makes no sense to me at all, OP. Eating clean would, yes, contain foods with less calories- but you'd be eating more OF them, and ingesting more nutrients rather than processed crap. Failing to see a downside. At the very least, try it before ruling it out.

For me, getting rid of clothes that were too big for me was hard not because I worried about needing them again (I did, but that wasn't what had me stressed) but because the good stylish items that used to fit me well had been so goddamn hard to find in the first place- it was hard to let go of the clothes that I felt good…

A lot of research and groups here support having a cheat day each week- which sounds exactly like this. How long have you been doing the once a week 3000 cal day? Are you still logging that day and that's how you know the amount, or is it just the one day you don't track calories? I'd say do it for a month and see what…

Bodypump only for me, though I've been slacking lately. 1130AM class tomorrow to get back on the horse!

Okay, read through more carefully... living on 500-1000 calories a day is probably not going to last you long, and as soon as you return to "normal" eating, you are unlikely to sustain the loss because you did not learn good portions and habits. As for eating all raw fruit, that won't fully meet your nutrition requirements…

OP is all over the place. A calorie deficit will result in a loss. Bigger deficit, bigger loss. But you want to stay safe, so I'd advise adhering to the MFP outlines- that's what they're there for. If you want to get into the math of TDEE and such, go ahead, but it sounds like it may raise way more questions than it…

wait no you said count DOWN. TEN!

That's a lot to deal with. If you know you're prone to (justified!) emotional eating at a time like this, I'd say make sure to surround yourself with things you won't feel guilty about eating. It sounds like you have a therapist to help you through the associated issues with your husband, and your sister's situation is…

Quizno's. It was close enough to walk to and directly next door to the movie theater I desperately wanted to work at. I was the only female employee in a staff of 8 college guys and one HS guy. To say it was awkward is an understatement. They basically ignored me completely and never taught me how to do anything but take…

Why put off exercising? Start now. Do little stuff, everything counts: go for a walk, move along to a youtube video, check websites for a free gym pass to a local place to see what you like- most chains offer a day to a week long pass. There's no quick way to lose the weight, but start carefully scrutinizing what you eat.…

I'm 7.5% smaller than I thought, and when I picked the model I was debating between two and went with the larger one, and found out I was between the smaller choice and the next smaller one. Wow, in words that sounds so confusing. Anyway, I was between sizes the two models down from where I picked. Said I'm an hourglass…

I'm so glad I don't have to start this topic! I was in body pump the other day and doing the back track, and when I went into a lift the instructor kept reminding everyone to keep the bar close to your body, so naturally I wacked myself in the nose with the bar and tried to keep going with stars in my eyes and a throbbing…

I used to be on a huge Subway kick, but having gotten bored with that, my fast food vice of choice is the Chipotle burrito bowl- no rice, chicken and grilled veggies, lots of salsas, minimal cheese, lettuce, and NO GUAC. That was a hard one, since the guac initially seems healthier but winds up being several hundred…

same, did this ever get explained?

Made or purchased? Not a donut fan, not much of a bacon fan either... but my taste buds are very much intrigued.

Any of the Mrs. Dash no-salt blends are good- I use the chicken one on salmon and it's great, and sometimes add a sprinkle of the Italian Herb one for good measure. Surprisingly easy, surprisingly tasty... in fact, I may change my dinner plans to have it now instead of what I planned.

This. Seriously. Obviously exercise isn't always a requirement to weight loss, because diet has more of an effect, but for those who have a lot to lose and are used to eating a lot, changing their diet and adding moderate exercise (which they can then eat back burned calories OR NOT) is going to go a lot futher than simply…

You can deep fry anything if you try hard and believe in yourself.

Additionally, now that I think about it more, do you think you like Chris as much as you do because he cares so much for you? Sounds like Simon didn't, and when you broke up over unsubstantiated cheating allegations, he didn't seem to upset and you don't mention him fighting or denying it... then Chris comes along and acts…
