  • I got when it came out but I've only had like five hours to play it! (My husband stole it from me and played for like 20 hours.) That's it! Cutting work short today for some Skyrim time!
  • Wow! You're doing great! Congrats on your success and good luck on the next part of your journey. ...I'd never heard of a fitbit today and now I really want one.
  • Wow. I can't believe someone actually said that. I have a feeling you and I define "class of people" quite differently. I've spent upwards of $3,000 to be in one friend's wedding and it was a wonderful time. However, I was in graduate school at the time and it was definitely a hardship. If I could do it again, I'd find…
  • I plan for one cheat meal every week, but I'd do two or even three--or none at all--depending on how I feel. Recently I didn't feel like treating myself to anything special, so I just stayed home and went with the same kinds of things I eat everyday on a day I planned to treat myself to something delicious. Honestly,…
  • Only if I sweat for a sustained period of time. I like to rearrange and that usually gets me sweaty and sore; if I'm just reloading the dishwasher and wiping the counters, not so much.
  • I actually get three things when I lose all this weight. First is a crazy clothes shopping spree. Second is a trip to Ukraine to meet my husband's grandparents. (I won't go until I'm not obese, because I don't think it would be as good an experience. Healthier means I'll have more energy to explore, etc.) Third is a trip…
  • Maybe four or five. But I also drink something like soy milk after breakfast if I get hungry again, so certain days it's more like six.
  • 9 times out of 10, I head home to shower. Our apartment complex has a gym, so it's easy because I don't have to hop in the car or anything. If I'm planning to head out directly after the gym, I'll take a quick shower in the gym shower.
  • I'm a freelance writer, which was awesome for about two years. Now, since I moved away from the city and people are paying less than they were a year ago (thanks to some really shady companies encouraging people to sell their writing for pennies--sigh) it's less awesome. I still love it, though and I find that I have…
  • I eat Kashi Go Lean Crunch with my Chobani every morning and I love it. It's my favorite meal of the day! We have three huge boxes of the cereal in the cabinet, just waiting to be eaten. :)
  • Wow!! Amazing job. You look great!
  • I get on the scale every day. My best friend is losing weight with me, so we tell each other our daily weight. (We also tell our husbands--it's a nice kind of accountability for me. I imagine it is for her, too, but I don't want to speak for her.) I only log my weight once every week, though.
  • Oh yeah, definitely! I bet it'll still be fantastic!
  • I've been making a really good layered lasagna type dish with squash instead of noodles. (I'm not low-carb, but I tend to overeat lasagna so I wanted to make it lower calories.) I always do it in the slow cooker because I think the flavors develop more nicely. I posted the recipe to my blog (since I made it and took pics…
  • We do Zumba and The Biggest Loser. I think they're both a lot of fun! ...well, to be fair, we were doing more of them before the downstairs neighbors complained about my husband's jumping jacks. (He goes like three feet into the air! Ridiculous. Just before they came up, I told him to settle down because I was pretty sure…
  • I like to slice it up, drain on paper towels, dry fry the pieces and marinate them in buffalo sauce. I imagine pretty much any marinade you like would work, though. My husband has told me more than once that buffalo isn't the right sauce for tofu, so... He likes teriyaki sauce with extra garlic. After it's been marinated,…
  • I love Chobani with 1/4 cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch for breakfast. It makes me super full. There's a lot of sugar in the flavored varieties of the yogurt, so sometimes I have plain with a bit of cinnamon or some fresh fruit instead of the flavored.
  • Ate too much. Didn't move enough.
  • Disclaimer: I haven't tried this, so I'm not sure how good it is. But I've made a lot of other things from her blog, and I've loved all of them. It might be worth a try. http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/06/02/crazy-good-ranch-dressing/
  • We've been married for a year.
  • You look beautiful and so happy! Great job!
  • Sometimes I do. I boil the water, throw in some vanilla protein powder, give it a good whisk, throw in the oatmeal, throw in a chopped up pear and whisk again. Then it's bowl time. I chop up a piece of crystallized ginger, throw it on top, and munch.
  • I'm not super into fish, but tilapia is okay. Especially with the right marinade. My best friend makes one that's spicy and lime-y. (I wish I could remember what's in it! If it wasn't 1:22am here, I'd call and ask her.) My mother in law made one that was lemon-y and herb-y a few weeks ago that was pretty good too. I think…
  • 0% plain Chobani with a sprinkle of Kashi Go Lean Crunch. The cereal adds a touch of sweetness and Greek yogurt keeps me full for a really long time! It has a ton of protein, too. ETA: It has 100 calories, no fat and 18 grams of protein in 6 ounces.
  • I stretch my husband's ground beef with textured vegetable protein. You just rehydrate it at a 2:1 ratio and it's good to go. I mostly use it in things like lasagna, spaghetti sauce--it's really good texture-wise. You can use anything to rehydrate it, but I've had good luck with veggie or beef broth. I tend to rehydrate a…
