•
Excellent job~ I think planning to workout during your trip to account for meals out, etc, is a solid plan. I actually lost weight on our recent road trip because I made it a point to utilize the hotel gym regularly and drank a ton of water to balance the extra salt in meals out. Good luck!
Thanks. We…
• I was recently introduced to nikefitclub. I downloaded the ap for my phone and have a bunch of things I can do with little or no equipment at home. In fact just did the abs workout in my hotel room
• week 1 202.8 week 2 202.0
• I can certainly do that from a hotel room. I'm in.
• 25NYS goal weight: 175 Current weight: 202.6 Pounds lost today: 0.2 Pounds lost total: 0.2 Pounds remaining:27.6 Your thoughts: This is the first week in 4 that I haven't seen a 2lb loss so I was a little disappointed, especially haven exercised more and being consistently under my calorie goals. It's hard to remember that…
• you didn't make public your food diary, but perhaps the kinds of food you're choosing for your 1200 calories also had to do with it. I know in the past I've had relatively low cal and low fat foods but with tons of carbs and sugar. During the last 3 weeks I've started over and have been focusing on getting a lot more…
• i have found that just cutting my carbs down and focusing on getting 40% of my calories from protein has kept me full and I am not missing all of the starchy snacks i usually craved. I have been making my husband some kind of side to go with whatever I cook and I stick to the meat and vegetable for myself and seem to be…

• I have 3 international business trips between now and halloween. My goal is to continue to limit carbs to 20% of my daily calories, exercise at least 5 days per week and to continue to journal my food at mfp. I will strive to achieve a loss of 16 pounds in the next 10 weeks to put me at 187.
• Name:Liz Gender:female Age:33 Height:5'6" 25NYS goal weight:175 What's your game plan: run/elliptical etc shooting for 5x weekly, keep food journal on mfp daily, aim for 20% cal from carbs limiting refined sugars, white flour and potatos I've recently "started over" again on MFP and would love some motivational friends.…
• Hi I'm Elizabeth. Would love to meet a few like minded folks. Feel free to friend me
• Unbroken was a great biography that I listened to on a long drive. The story is engaging about a runner turned WW2 POW. Highly recommend.
• i second the getting fitted for running shoes idea. There are differences in the level of support each brand's shoes offer and different runners will need different styles even across a particular brand. I used to have a lot of knee pain when running. I'd been buying asics or adidas or other name brand running shoes from…
• DId mine this morning! It was a blustery 36 degrees with a mile and a half of the course on the beach so we were chilly but it went pretty well, all things considered. It was my 4th time doing this race and usually I end up walking the last 2 mi bridge but force myself to run 4min, walk 1 almost the whole way.
• Well then my "Breast Cancer 1/2 Marathon" in Jacksonville FL today was just blustery at 36F (about 2 C) for the finish. The weather has been unpredictable for this February N. Florida race. Some years it's in the 80s but today was a record low...and most of the racers are locals who aren't accustomed to running in the…
• made it through my 25 min run for w7d1 and even a little extra tonight. Was jogging with my sister and talking and suddenly we'd run thru the cooldown too. we didn't go fast but I found myself thinking..."that wasn't so bad" haven't run that long without stopping in ages.

• the milk in half gallon cardboard containers like "smart balance" and some of the soy and almond milks have longer shelf lives and also tend to go on sale and even have coupons right on the case making them sometimes cheaper than regular milk. We've switched to these. Can't tell the difference with some, flavors take some…
• Also not doing 30DS. I'm training for a 1/2 marathon by getting back into running and walking. Currently walking a lot more than running but building back my running pace and endurance. Getting several 2 mi or so runs +/_ 2-5 mi walking workouts per week right now.
• I have the c25k free from zen labs iphone ap. it's not perfect...won't run in the background so need to open your gps and pandora first, voice is pretty quiet and i've missed 1 or 2 chimes, screen lock wasn't intutitive to me but it does the job. I'm in week 7 so probably won't bother looking for a different app now but…
• thanks for the tip i really hadn't looked at what else is out there

• glad to hear i wasn't the only one who thought week 6 d 2 was hard. I am behind where i want to be and have run 1/2 marathons but hadn't really run in about a year so i decided to do d1 and d2 right after each other. thought that was why i was struggling with teh last 10 min but maybe not. Justrying to get enough stamina…

• Did week 5 d 2 last night and week 5 d 3 this morning...maybe if I'd given myself more than 11 hours off I'd have felt better but it wasn't too bad. I set myself with "I must run for 5 songs without looking at the clock" and then before I knew it there were just a couple of minutes of running left. My knee is a little sore…

• National Breast Cancer Marathon 1/2 in Jacksonville Beach FL. I've done it the last 3 years. Lots of fun and 1 mi of the half (2 of the full) is on the beach for something different.
• Last year I did a half marathon by running 4 min walking 1 min. After March, though, I barely ran at all. Now I'm starting over again. I'm on week 4 day 2. When I started C25k I was doing 2 days' worth of runs at a time 3-4 x/week but yesterday I could only get through the w4d1 workout...so now I'll back off and do one at…

• I don't like the things over my ears. Yurbuds work great for me. The used to sell just the earbud covers but looks like now you have to buy as part of a set .
• I'm going to try the National Breast Cancer Marathon's 1/2 on Feb 12 in Jacksonville FL...I'm late in training this year but I'm ok with walking some if I need to. In fact, there's a huge Jeff Galloway run/walk program for this race in town so I won't be the only one planning on some walking.
