What you will find in my diary: Everything. Except Veal and liver. I will never, to this day, eat Veal. And liver just grosses me out.

Start the C25K or just start with intervals on your own (walk:run). Start with a (3:1) ratio and every week, increase your running by 30 seconds and decrease your walking by 30 seconds. Aim for a 30 minute workout and include a 5 minute warm-up and cooldown. The goal is to run 30 minutes without stopping, no matter how fast…

Absolutely no starving here! Always eating between 1650 and 2500 (even more!) calories per day. I cut NOTHING out and eat out at least once or twice a week. I run 3 days a week with light strength until I am cleared by the doctor to start a heavy lifting program. It can be done!

Looking great Crystal!

LOL. Is this a rule on MFP that we are breaking?

You're right. She is being led blindly...LOL. BMR (also known as rest calories): The calories your body burns if you were in a comatose state TDEE (made up of several factors): The amount of calories your body burns in an entire day (sleeping, eating, working, planned exercise, fidgeting, taking a poo...) In my experience,…

You have no idea, Bethany! @mlachance: That sounds exactly what I am going through. I will give it a try! I did buy a tension pressure ball at the running store the other day. Seems to work!

I make sure I am conditioned enough to run the miles first and then the speed work comes after. I was training for a HM until injury happened. I had two, 3 mile or 30 minute runs on the week days (1 slow paced and 1 with sprints and speed work) and then a long run (starting with 3 miles) on the weekend that increased 5-10%…

I used to tan all the time. Now I have freckles all over my nose and on my face. Now, I use Banana Boat Touch of Summer faux tanning spray! Just a hint of color

Yes, you should eat more than your BMR. if you are active with exercise during the week (it looks like you are lightly active according to TDEE), aim to eat at TDEE on days you work out and 20% under TDEE on rest days. Macros should be adjusted according to LBM. 1-1.2 grams of protein x LBM. .45 grams of fat x LBM. Carbs…

So buy double protein bread or sprouted grain bread. There are other options. If you dislike eggs and milk, are you not eating anything that is MADE with these ingredients as well? 80% of food contains milk and eggs. Just sayin.

We are "tearing" down fad diets because most of us have "been there and done that." Ever think that some of us are trying to save you the hassle of what can be expected in the long run?? But, do as you wish. One day, you will see your doctor for routine blood work and s/he will tell you that you need to see an…

You gain weight from the overconsumption of calories and macros with no activity to balance it out (AKA creating a calorie surplus.)
