  • You were beautiful before and beautiful now! Congrats to you on your success! :)
  • Congrats!!!! What an accomplishment!
  • Age is only a number but I am going to agree with what Heidi said about the children aspect. She is no spring chicken and if having children of your own is important to you, you need to take that into consideration. I know too many people who have been where you are. Dating someone within a 10-15 year age difference and…
  • If I weighed in every day, I'd want to jump off a building. With that being said, you weigh in when you see fit. I do a "check in" once every 2-3 weeks and that works for me. I don't want to be crazy about a number on the scale
  • I am so sorry OP. I have been there as well. I was engaged to a guy for 2 years and we were obviously oranges and apples (but not in the good way). In fact, the roles are reversed in my situation to yours (my ex is you, your ex is me) I broke it off the first time because of all the fighting we were doing. He begged for a…
  • I have to be honest, shin splints are the devil and they can last anywhere from a month to a year to fully heal. Mine lasted close to 4 months before the muscles in my calves became stronger. I saw a doctor and sports therapist on my shin splints and they told me what the lady at my running store told me for free. Rest,…
  • IDK who Lea is...... But HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  • I work a desk job and eat (on average) 2,000+ calories a day. I also run 3-4 times a week. Food is delicious (and I LOVE TO EAT) but my body DEPENDS on food for fuel so my runs can kick some butt! I really can't imagine training for my half marathon or just running my normal days eating 1200 calories or less.
  • Hi there. Congrats for starting C25K! I started the program at 200 pounds. I was fitted professionally at a running store and they put me in a shoe that fit my gait and body frame. At first, I started the first week on the treadmill but quickly switched to running outside. Yes, I was intimated by people seeing a 200+lb…
  • Every time Ray Lewis says "God", "Jesus", cries or prays during any part of the Super Bowl, 50 jumping jacks Every time Kaepernick kisses his biceps like a douche, run 1/4 mile outside Every time they show Randy Moss, 25 crunches Every time they mention Frank Gore and the NFC Championship Game, 1 minute plank Every time…
  • Please get fitted at a running store. Let someone measure you and watch you run to see if you pronate. Then they will direct you to your ideal shoe (stability, motion or neutral). As for shin splints, you may have them anywhere from 4-12 weeks.. maybe even longer. I had shin splints for 3 months before the muscles in my…
  • I have two (not by choice either). My mom bought me the Polar FT7 last year and this year for Christmas, my boyfriend bought me the Garmin Forerunner 110 for running. This device came with a HRM. The problem is, each HRM reads differently, almost by 100 or more calories. For instance, if I went on a 30 minute run, my polar…
  • Wow. OP, I don't think it was very nice to call Dan out in the forums. In fact, it was down right rude. As someone else suggested, you should have PMed him to tell him your concerns. If his plan didn't work for you and you gave it 4-6 weeks (as Dan always suggests) then you are unique like a snowflake and something needs…
  • ...when you reschedule your chiropractor appointment because it interferes with your half marathon training run :ohwell:
  • Do you know why we look so lean and healthy? Most of us lift weights or do some kind of strength work  Women do not produce enough testerone to bulk up unless they are hiding a nut sack (as someone previously mentioned).
  • It's not crazy. There are a ton of us who have ignored MFP's calorie goals, created a slight calorie deficit from TDEE and have successfully lost weight at a sustainable pace. If it weren't for "helloitsdan" I would be chewing my arm off during the day from hunger :) And trust me, I eat everything under the sun except the…
  • 4/28 - NIKE WOMENS HALF MARATHON!!!
  • Vikings are out   Would love to see Tony Gonzalez get his ring! So............go falcons!
  • I'm pretty sure she got her body back because she hired a personal chef and a personal trainer
  • Yes! Eat 20% below your TDEE and still lose weight! I've lost 50 lbs by eating below TDEE and I consume (on average 1800-2200 calories a day). Google Fat 2 Fit radio tools Use their Military Body Fat Calc and then the BMR Tool Follow the calories given to you on the chart below (use Katch McArdle Formula) You can also…
  • You only ate half??? I can eat my body weight in pizza
  • I eat pizza 2-3 times a week. Go for it dude!
  • Taco Bell: 1 Cheesy Gordita Crunch, 1 Dorito's locos taco or a regular crunchy taco and a churro Wendys: Homestyle chicken wrap, value fry and a root beer frosty float BK: Whopper with cheese meal McDonalds: McChicken sandwich and a small chocolate shake Pancheros (similar to Chipotle): A chicken burrito with EVERYTHING in…
  • I run and have been running for about a year and a half. I don't *LOVE* to run. Honestly, I don't wake up in the morning and say "OMG YAY RUNNING" but I get out there 3-4 times a week and hit the pavement. I think I am still running because almost everyone told me I wouldn't be able to run while I was heavy. But I did it…
  • If you don't touch it, you should find someone who will
  • Speaking of pooping... I have NOT been able to have a good one in a week! WTF is going on in there, colon???? :grumble:
  • Oh that was so lame LOL
  • You know, I had the same thinking as well. I can remember about 9 years ago when I tried running at night because it was cooler. I ran for one minute, got side cramps and walked back home in tears. The thought of running again after that was never a thought in my mind. It wasn't until last July that I told my sister, "I…
