Count me in as a lurker transitioning to contributor. I'm a pre-K/K teacher and have long admired some of my student's bento lunches, especially a Japanese girl who brings magazine worthy bentos. I think I have finally picked a something to buy from Bentgo, however I did just discover that I have a Daiso store not too far…

I'm 5'1 and I maintain between 110-115. I feel best at the lower end of that range.

Amazing transformation, congrats!

Yes, lift.

This is awesome.

Beautiful picture of you and your grandson. Don't beat yourself up over a temporary setback. Just get back on it!

Wow! So much greatness in this post! Congratulations, and you look so, so happy in your after picture!

Another vote for this. It's got all the info you need.

Damn girl! Looking great, congratulations :)

I plan it, then just do it like I would any other item on my schedule, like work, a doctor appt, etc.

Have you considered physical therapy as a place to start? Otherwise, the walking is great, as would be swimming and yoga (yoga would help with balance). For yoga I would recommend a class specializing in arthritis or at least the instructor being knowledgable, so they can help you with modifications. Best of luck!

Most will tell you that no one is really looking at you, they are just there to get their workout in. As far as enjoying it or getting into it - I just schedule it and do it. I don't love what I do, but I like it ok, and really like how I feel when I'm done. If you have anxiety at the gym you could always work out at home.…

Very inspiring, thanks for sharing! Congratulations on your loss, and maintaining.

This is awesome - so glad you posted now instead of waiting, you are truly a success story already. Congrats!

Congratulations Cathy! Grandchildren are so much fun!

I find maintenance harder. When in losing mode, there was a specific goal to strive for, and I think all along I sort of thought when I hit my goal weight I would be done. I hit my goal weight 6 months ago, and I find I have to fight from slipping back into old habits of eating. It is getting easier, but it is a struggle.…

Craving something is not the same thing as being addicted. I find the more carbs I eat, the more I crave them. If I focus on getting an appropriate amount of protein and fat, I find I crave sweets a lot less.

Congratulations!

Isn't it great fitting into smaller clothes? Congratulations!

What a transformation, both in body and in food choices. And I do see muscles! Congratulations.

Yep.

I did Bikram yoga several years ago, for about a year (2-3 classes a week). What I liked about it was that I always knew what was coming since the classes are always the same poses done in the same order, and I liked the heat. The heat allows you to go a deeper into the poses. I stopped going because the late class I went…

I'm here! Going to post a link to a recent blog post I wrote. Normally I wouldn't do this, but I guess it spoke to many people, I got a lot of wonderful comments so sharing here in case anyone would like to read it. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/sun_fish?month=201502

I'm going to go with inaccurate logging as the most likely cause. It's a good place to start anyway. Have a look at this link: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/872212/youre-probably-eating-more-than-you-think/p1 If you tighten down on your logging accuracy for 4 weeks, and still are not losing, perhaps a…

I believe it mostly comes down to genetics, followed by how long you've been overweight and how slowly you lose. The reason I am bolding the "but" in your statement, is that while I believe your question is sincere, please don't allow this is be a roadblock. I'm sure anyone who has lost weight will tell you it is a tough…

Well said, completely agree.

I would be happy to share! It took me awhile to create this list, and had some input from others when I came up blank. It is basically my goal list for 2015, and may be revised as I go along. Here it is: 1. Get better sleep ~ my sleep is not horrible, but it’s not that great either. I’d like to create more consistency with…

I think when in maintenance, it is a good idea to still have goals. When losing, that is the goal, so easier to stay focused. I found after I hit my goal weight, I became a little complacent. I also saw myself as the person who had lost 68 pounds, and at some point realized I was more than that. So, I reset my ticker to…

Congrats on your loss! Very impressive  I find maintenance hard, in many ways harder than losing. I've been maintaining for 5 months now. I think for me, the reason it is hard is that during losing mode I had a mission, a goal, a prize to achieve and work for. I had to stay on track no matter what (not that I didn't…
