  • It sounds like water retention. You may have eaten more sodium or sweets which can cause the scale to offset a little. If you remain good for the next two days and drink plenty of water you will probably see that disappear as fast as it came on. Don't give up... we all have days like that!
  • Thank you everyone for your support and suggestions. I am going to try a few and see what happens. I have also refered to a health advisor in a fitness program I joined at work. She advised me that I am eating too few calories. I usually net under 1000-1100 after my workout and she said that is not enough. It scares me to…
  • You can add me... I have been struggling with the fact that I have trying since August 1st and have only lost 10-12 lbs so far (2 lbs always seems to go back and forth). I could really use the support too if I am going to reach 20 lbs total by Christmas... and I promise to help you too! You seem to be doing a great job so…
  • I am hoping to have another 10 lbs gone by Christmas for a total of 20 lbs by the end of the year. I figure since it has taken me 2.5 months to lose the first 10, then another 10 by Christmas is realistic... then I can fit into my nice red dress for the Christmas program!! (Haven't worn that in almost 3 years!)
  • Your body can also act hungry when you are not drinking enough water. Try drinking more water and it will relieve your cravings and be good for you.
  • I do not agree. The healthy way to lose weight is to reduce your calorie intake. If you eat 2000 calories to maintain your weight, then you reduce your calorie intake to lose weight. That means on a normal diet you burn 2000 calories. If you choose to reduce to, say 1200, to lose 2 lbs per week and workout on top of that,…
  • Welcome! God is amazing, isn't He? Sounds like you have been through a lot but you are on the road to victory! Welcome, I love all the support I read and hear people give on here. It is definitely one of the things that keep me going.
  • I know exactly how you feel. I have been working hard at for 2.5 months and only have 9-10 lbs to show for it. This week I have lost nothing so far and I am trying so hard not to get discouraged. BUT... I have noticed my clothes fitting loosely and I was able to buy a little black dress this weekend for an event I went to…
  • Trust me, I know how you feel. Between work, church, husband, and two children, I sometimes I feel like I have no time to myself. Here is what I have started doing to try and work in 1.5-2.5 miles a day in walking. I have added the Pedometer app to my Iphone (it's free) and then during the day I try to get up from my desk…
  • I completely understand... between football for my oldest kid, work, church, and attempting to stay up on the house work there is no time for cooking! If you have more than 1 kid, which I have two, the price for groceries and everything else is outrageous. What I do is when I am able to finally cook a meal, I make sure to…
  • I have been dealing with the symptons of PCOS for at least 10 years. I don't know what side effects you have experienced yet, but the good news is that it is over when you finally get to menapause... bad new is that if you are like me that is still 20 years away. All the research that I have done says it can be maintain by…
  • I live about 25 miles from work so walking to work is not an option, especially when it is interstate most of the way. I sit at a computer desk most of the day at work so I entered my lifestyle as sedentary. It allows me to log my activities above the norm. I go walking/running about 4 times a week and then I usually log…
  • Muscle weighs more than fat. If you are doing weight lifting and kickboxing, it sounds like you are increasing your muscle mass which will either cause your weight to increase a little or offset your lessened body fat with muscle weight. If you are looking to increase your muscle tone, then I would keep it up. Eventually…
  • I can't speak for everyone, but I can definitely relate. I join this program when my mom told me about it over the phone. She is definitely one of those already too skinny people that think they need to lose more weight. When she started the program she weighted 128-130 and now she weighs 115. She did it in 2-3 months....…
