unfortunately you cant "choose where to lose". I have heard good things about the Stronglifts stuff... maybe take a peek at that?

Im down 17 lbs and I have noticed a difference in people. Might be that I am holding myself with more confidence now though... not sure. I think you attract what you put out... Inside, do you respect yourself more? If so, maybe that's why you are getting it back from others... just a thought I dunno hehe

Don't beat yourself up. This is a life change. Just go back to what you were doing before and keep on trucking. We are all human and will gain and lose here and there. You can definitely get back on track and kick fat's a** lol. Enjoy the process and be happy!

Bingo. The scale can almost hinder progress I find. How are your clothes fitting? How do you FEEL?

This ^ food scale is your friend! There are a lot of threads about people just like you. Feeling hopeless, not losing. Etc. You are NOT alone in this. Every thread like this gets answered the same way. Once you find your groove roll with it. Log log log and keep on trucking! You can do it!!!

bump thanks!

No need to cry.. plenty are here to help. No one should cry over weight loss.

yeah that's a bit of a brutal commute to say the least

You could try to incorporate some extra walking throughout the day... Do you drive to work? To school? If you do, park as far away as possible and walk a bit more. I am sure others will chime in with what works for them but there are plenty of ways of adding some exercise to the things you do everyday without the gym..…

^^^ This x 100. Log EVERYTHING and accurate as possible. That's the only way. Food scale is your best friend
-
I would start incorporating some juicing into your plan. Not a long term solution for weight loss but will knock some poundage off quickly.

Need a titch more info to figure this one out OP. Previous answers are valid and make sense... underestimating food and overestimating calorie burn is usually the culprit... sorry to ask the big question but.... do you use a food scale?

Similar to you I have been doing MFP for about a month and am down 11 lbs! Amazing how logging and weighing can start such a transformation! You speak the truth my friend!

Congrats on your impending wedding!

hello from Canada! Ill be your friend! Add me!

Majorly agree with this! Eat it!!! Just get back on track the next day. One Sundae will not make or break your journey. Its these kind of desires and then subsequent denials of the desire that can knock things off track. You have done an amazing job so far! Eat the sundae! And enjoy it (don't feel guilty)

Super frustrating when the entries in MFP are only in cups. Last night we made a "Clean Eating Shepherds Pie" and the measurement for a serving was 1.5 cups (from the recipe). We did not weigh everything out when we made the recipe so now we don't know how to weigh out a serving. Wonder why they would even do it in cups…

Thanks everyone! Yeah feeling good so far. The deficit is definitely working. Now trying a couple of programs (Leslie Sansone/YAYOG) to see if I can ramp things up a bit!
