  • It's everyday stuff. You can change your level of activity from 'sedentary' to 'lightly active' to 'moderately active' etc in the settings section and MFP will adjust your calorie intake accordingly!
  • Have you heard of nerdfitness.com? The guy who runs it (Steve Kamb) was the scrawny kid in high school and has become dedicated at living a healthy life style and building muscle and has a website that gives you tips on it whilst linking it to 'nerdy' topics. It makes everything so much more fun when you take his tips of…
  • Thank you for posting this! I'd heard about the 3 hour rule before but it's nice to see it explained!
  • bump! I have a smoothie for breakfast sometimes and it contains nearly all my sugars for the day so I was wondering the same thing.
  • The Rolling Stones. That is all.
  • Hummus all the way! I tried some for the first time the other day and it's become my favourite snack - I can't get enough of it. :D
  • THIS THIS THIS!
  • Monkey Wrench by Foo Fighters! I originally got it because it's at 180bpm, which is how fast I try to run with this technique I'm trying (three steps every second), but it's just so kick *kitten* that without the technical kerfuffle it's great to give you as much energy as an espresso shot.
  • Yes it does! It's evolutionary. Back in the day, a good meal wasn't always guaranteed. The people who survived longest in harsh conditions with out food were the ones with the most fat on their bodies to use for energy. The people with low body fat percentages ran out of supplies quickly and were at a much higher risk of…
  • As a Brit, I can honestly say it's not that confusing! Well, the 14 thing is a little but you get used to it quick and there are online converters to make it easier if you don't fancy doing any math.
  • Because to lose 1lb per week you'd need to have a deficiency of 500 calories per day. To lose 2lbs per week it'd be a deficiency of 1000 calories per day. That'd only work if you were over weight (which you're not) so MFP won't allow it because it'll take you under 1200 calories. Unless you were so overweight that your BMR…
  • Being vegetarian isn't hard at all. There are many wonderful dishes out there to eat, so going Veg is certainly an adventure! I understand the thing about your family, though! The only reason my parents allowed me to go Vegetarian was because they thought it would be a two week phase. Six years later... haha! Good luck…
  • I don't know the answer but I'm going to keep an eye on the topic because I'm the same. I eat a lot of vegetables (I'm vegan!), which means I eat a lot of them but don't get a high calorie count. Add that with my daily goal of burning 500 via exercise and my net is always incredibly low. I have to force myself to eat but…
  • This! I was so proud of working out for 80+ minutes and burning about 500 calories until someone updated their exercise status and burned about 900 in the same amount of time. :(
  • I think you should dress figure appropriate rather than age. If you're 35 but it better shape than you were when you were 25, then why not where the same sort of stuff? I do agree there is kind of a limit on these things, though! Sometimes it can look incredibly tacky. I think being tasteful and a good fit are the main…
  • Coffee is very acidic, which isn't very good for you. Mixed in with a healthy diet and life style I shouldn't imagine it'd be too bad! Especially if you drink lots of water along with it - caffeine is very dehydrating! My rule is, if you feel like you 'need' coffee to wake you up in the morning you should come off of it.…
  • That's what I did! It worked for the most part, like I said. Didn't miss breakfast and lunch at all. It was just the afternoon period before my evening meal that got me when I was just so physically worn out it was hard to do anything but sleep.
  • ^ Going to go read that now, thanks for posting it! And I guess I never thought about the acidity in the Orange juice before. Thanks for the ideas guys!
  • July the 5th. :D
  • I'm struggling ridiculously on hitting my calorie goal. Before I even factor in exercise I eat very little. The aim I've been given on here is 1300 but today I hit about half of that. I only managed half my dinner, though, because I was so full! I don't understand what you guys are eating! I eat around four meals a day but…
  • I can't do push ups! I can't even manage one! I get half way down and collapse. I have to do the easier option (I resent calling it the girly option >.> ) with your knees down and even then I struggle with more than ten.
  • I'm fairly new and have about 4 friends. I wanna see what y'all eating and working. There are so many different tips and ideas on here I'd love to get loads of you friended to see them all in action. I also like rock music and exercising till I drop. Add me. :glasses:
  • Jenna Marbles (a young woman who makes youtube videos) once commented that if you still have your perfect makeup by the end of the gym session you're doing it wrong! She said if she wore make up she'd look like the wrong side of Harvey Dent's face by the time she'd finished.
  • My favourite part of Turbo Jam is the fat burning work out with 4 intervals. They're so much fun and really get your heart rate going!
  • I started this today. It's a nice gentle start but I know it's going to get worse! I might hold off a couple of days, though, because if I officially start today then my rest days are randomly in the middle of the week on Thursdays. It'd make more sense to have them on Fridays or over the weekend but hey ho!
  • My friends got caught on Google Map Street View a little while ago. They were about 15 at the time and, as boys will be boys, they started "gangster" walking down the street and pulling poses every so often as they went past and now you can see these three lads strutting down the street mid-pose on Google!
  • Megan Fox! She has a gorgeous toned body and is slim without loosing her curves.
  • I see a lot of women wearing jeans / t shirts too small for them and it is NOT flattering. It can make perfectly healthy women appear to be overweight. I really don't get it either! I tried on a pair of jeans that were too small the other day and I thought it was the most heartbreaking feeling ever not being able to do up…
  • Thanks for posting that. It looks like fun (and a lot of hard work!) I did 30DS a while ago and am on Ripped in 30 now so I'll substitute that into where 30DS is. I'm guessing this was done before that DVD was released because it's not on the rotation at all. I love the later week where you do two shreds in one day,…
  • I'm 18 but have predominantly lost my weight and am just maintaining now. I know what you mean about not having many friends amongst us kids, though!
