I put in what the Nike+ program on my iPod tracks since I can enter in my weight to more accurately reflect the calories that I burn since the treadmill that I use at the gym doesn't ask me for my weight and therefore doesn't give me a calorie burn at the end of my workout.

It definitely happened to me since I left home 8 years ago in order to be with my boyfriend, turned fiance and now husband. At the beginning of this year my total weight gained had been 120 pounds! Only 5.5 years of that has been spent married. Personally I contribute a lot of stuff to my weight gain such as not knowing…

Just give it time and I'm sure that they will eventually be available there. They wouldn't ship the Touch to me in South Korea because you have to have a "US purchase and billing address" in order to use it on wireless. Which is really quite silly seeing as how they sell them at the BX here. So instead I had it mailed to…

I've had my Kindle since October 2010 and sadly the image shattered on it just last month, just a few months after the 1 year warranty expired. So thanks to Christmas gift cards I was able to purchase a new Kindle Touch that I'm waiting for to arrive in the mail! It took me a while to debate between the Touch and the Fire,…

* my gym clothes should reflect my personal style * it's all about performance and durability for me, whatever wicks sweat and lasts the longest Those are me to a T. I get my workout clothing from the plus sized section of the Old Navy website. I'll be that large 286 pound woman you see wearing the brightly colored sport…

Neither! I don't enjoy watching sports. Haha

A 5-5.5 is not a walk, no matter how you look at it. That's either a jog or a flat out run. For me personally it's a run. The treadmill I use at the gym even posts speeds for walk (2 mph), jog (4 mph) and run (6 mph). It's essentially impossible to "walk" at a 5-5.5. So don't sell yourself short, you're jogging/running and…

Steel cut oatmeal. I eat it every morning nowadays.

Finally seeing my scales tip into the 300 pounds. It was bad enough having a weight that started with a 2, but starting with a 2 is just unacceptable for me personally. When I'm done with this weight loss journey of mine I refuse to even have a weight that starts with a 2.

Holy crap you just lost what I weighed at the beginning of this year! You lost a me! Haha I keep joking with my friend and telling her that I'd like to essentially "lose her" but still have her around in my life. That I'd like to lose what she weighs (or more accurately what she weighed when we started our weight loss…

Mine actually came from my 5 year old daughter and it was said after I'd started my weight loss journey at the beginning of this year. She'd been learning about animals that live in cold climates and how polar bears have blubber to help keep them warm. My sweet darling little girl, in all of her infinite honest 5 year old…

I'm a stay at home mom as well. I'll be 30 later this year and I'm hoping to have lost a good chunk of weight by then. It'd be an excellent birthday present to myself.

Yeah honestly it was just a suggestion to somehow help her gain muscle since she doesn't have time for the gym. I personally don't want to be walking around with wrist and ankle weights either. And the skinny fat person thing is totally true. You can be that skinny person that still huffs and puffs their way up a flight of…

I can definitely see a difference between your 220-225 photo and your new 175 photo. But even if you've only gone down one pant size, don't feel so bad. 50 pounds lost is nothing to scoff at and you're incredibly healthier now because you've lost it. Keep up the good work and make sure to not forget your weight training so…

Well first off I don't think you're going to build a whole lot of muscle (outside of your legs from c25k of course) without actually lifting weights. Lifting weights is rather crucial to building muscle and not achieving the "skinny fat" person look once you're at your goal weight. I'm not sure what your job is, but have…

Alright, Feb 1st here for me in the lovely cold land of South Korea and my starting weight for this challenge is 289.4.

I have also never understood the mindset of eating back what you've burned off (especially ALL of it!). I typically eat close to my calorie limit for the day and stay under, even before adding in my exercise calories. I rarely eat back any of my exercise calories (maybe half of them depending on how much I worked out and…

FREE!!!!! Of course it's the military base gym and doesn't have all the nice amenities that other gyms have. But it does have a large selection of treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, a few stair steppers, many weight machines, an indoor track, basketball court and classes. The one thing I really want them to have is…

I'm personally saving $5 for every pound I lose and for every 50 pounds I lose (I'm planning on losing 150) I'm going to buy myself new clothes since I know that my current ones won't fit that well 50 pounds from now. I'm considering getting pedicures done at 25 pounds though since my feet are just naturally rough (thanks,…

So I forgot that this one was starting on the 30th (it's the 31st where I live). I was thinking I was going to weigh in on Feb 1st like my other challenge and seeing as how I've already eaten this morning, weighing myself now wouldn't be fair so I guess I'll just chime in with a weight tomorrow.

I've only done Zumba classes and the Kinect game. Personally I prefer the classes over the 1st Kinect game (I don't know about the new one yet since it hasn't been released). I felt that the first Zumba Kinect game was too advanced (even on the easiest level) and didn't break down the movements enough for me. It's like the…

So this probably doesn't completely answer your question, but I personally make sure to update my calorie intake every week when I weight in so that way I'm making sure that I'm aiming to the proper amount of calories for the upcoming week. I'm not sure what you have your weight loss goals set at or your activity level but…

That's me except in panties and a tank. I've tried with them removed and the scale didn't even budge so I don't bother with taking something off that I'm just going to put back on in order to start my day.

Texan by birth (Houston area) and after twenty years there I honestly couldn't wait to get the hell out. Humidity and I are not good friends. But we're heading back to the Lone Star State in a few months to an area that will hopefully not be as horrid as home is.

I just started the program with my friend yesterday. We're going to be on W1D2 tomorrow and I'm all for giving some support. I've never been a runner and am still leery about getting further into the program with the farther distances of jogging but I'm going to try at the very least. I figure at 150-160 pounds overweight,…

I can see it in the less pudge over the top of your panties and your belly looks smaller as well. And I agree with a PP, don't take progress photos so often. Take them once a month, or every X amount of pounds and you should see better progress.

Totally sober (with no plans to change that) and completely amused by y'all. One of the greatest threads I've read in awhile. And it's 4:30 pm in South Korea. So it's almost my "5 o'clock somewhere" so someone have a drink on me. Just don't forget to log it! :P
