I started this year at 303. I'm now down to 278.8 thanks to better food choices, proper portion sizes, exercise and of course the lovely support I get from my friends here.

I <3 Zumba but only in a classroom setting. I don't seem to have as much fun with it when I'm doing it at home by myself. My current instructor has lots of booty shaking in her routines so I always feel silly shaking my butt in class as if I were at a club, but I just put on a smile and laugh my way through it. Various…

Well right now when I currently still weigh more than twice what I should, I prefer weight. I'm sure that once I start getting closer to my goal weight that I will prefer inches over weight. I just took my inches last night and needless to say, I am NOT impressed. Haha

I haven't gotten one but I'm thinking I might just prefer the laser hair removal surgery to avoid all that pain and then the repeat of it every time I want to get it done afterwards. Of course I'm 100% positive that my wallet wouldn't appreciate the price of such a process.

I eat as I go throughout the day and never really seem to have issues with having enough calories left for my dinner. My daily food eating times pretty much always seem to have the same amount of calories so I don't have to worry about it. However, if I know I'm going out to eat for lunch or dinner at a place that is…

What brand of machines were you using that caused your heart rate to appear on neighboring machines?

That's awesome! The longest I've run is 5 minutes (thanks to the C25K program). I'm already fearing week 5 day 3 where it wants me to run for 20 minutes straight after having only gone for 8 minutes straight as the longest the day before that.

My daily calories are set to 1490 right now (I'm set to lose 2 pounds a week). It started higher (close to 1600) back when I was 24 pounds heavier but it goes down a little bit each week. I'm typically never hungry at the end of the day, stay under my calories and don't eat back all of my exercise calories.

My friend and I do C25K on the treadmills at the gym. We're finishing week 4 tomorrow. And even though I still weigh more than twice what I should (even being 24 pounds down) I'm able to get through my daily runs without feeling like I"m going to die afterwards. I of course am just jogging because I don't want to put…

I <3 your profile picture so much! I only learned about the yoga name of this position two days ago and so this is just hilarious to me.

That sounds really yummy. I just wish I wasn't so lazy as to not use my crock pot, even though the crock pot itself was pretty much invented for lazy cookers. Just toss it in, wait, eat and enjoy. Can't get any easier for good home cooking than that right? But yet I'm just too lazy to deal with it all. Haha

I'm going to go with that theory of why I'm so big (beyond the obvious reasons of laziness and improper eating habits). It's just in my head I don't feel I look as bad as what the scale told me I weighed. Even looking back at my wedding pictures from 5.5 years ago, I feel like I don't look any different, even though I…

Married to the Army via my husband. :)

Mine would say, "Congratulations on your 4 pound loss this week!"

I like your shirt, Mona, and am proud of you for starting your weight loss journey.

I gave up soda 2 months ago and while I don't think that I've lost weight because I quit soda, I do drink pretty much water and only water these days. I don't count my protein shakes and milk since they're good for me. And I have coffee about once or twice a month now when I feel like I just really seriously desperately…

I'm either a D or DD (I honestly don't know because I haven't been properly fitted in years) and they're uber saggy (always have been since I was a teenager and they were Cs). I figure I've already had my two kids and don't want anymore so once I reach my goal weight, I'd really like to get a lift since I'm sure they'll be…

Your shoes are one of the most important pieces of your exercise regime. Therefore it is worth it to pay for shoes that are better for your body and will help prevent injuries than to wear a pair that is more cost effective for your wallet. I can't wait to get back to the States and find a store that can examine the way I…

I honestly don't even open up people's diaries for the most part. Unless they comment about how they're struggling with something then I'll check it out. But I also don't tend to comment on people's posts about their diary completion for the day. Their exercises and weight loss posts though I will comment on.

This is all very helpful information. I'm used to doing my walk/jogs/runs on the treadmill so I'm used to just having water on hand and not being properly hydrated before I run. For those of you who do hydrate before running, how much do you drink before hand and how soon before your run? Don't you ever have to pee while…

I don't do Lent but I'll join you in giving up giving up.

I'm in! I enjoy taking part of these challenges. CW 281.8 (Feb 21) GW 271.8 (April 1)

It's definitely all about finding something that you enjoy doing and feel like you can stick with. I personally love doing Zumba and I've apparently acquired a new interest in the C25K program and have actually started jogging. I'm not up to full steam of being able to just flat out run but I'm doing better than I was 5…

So I'm sure I should know this...but what are "mountain climbers" and "butt busters"?

Personally I've lost 20 pounds and still don't see a difference. However, I ran into a friend who I haven't seen since I started my weight loss journey at the beginning of this year and she noticed that I've lost weight. And I know I'm healthier now because I've started the Couch to 5K program and I'm on week 4 now. It has…

I eat the flavored Yoplait Greek yogurt and find it of a thicker consistency than the Oikos plain Greek yogurt. I can't seem to find flavored Oikos yogurt here (of course I'm not even sure they make it) so I now use it as a veggie dip that I put in some ranch dip mix into. It's a much healthier option then actual ranch…

Your "fuel" is actually your calories burned and if you've entered in your weight in the Nike+ app then your calories burned are more accurately calculated than just going by a number on a machine where you didn't put in your weight. I personally change my weight in my app every week so I can track properly. And while I do…

When the scale finally tipped over 300 pounds I decided that it was finally enough. I've been overweight (and honestly just obese) for the vast majority of my life but I found that 300 pounds was just unacceptable. It also helped me that my husband needed to lose some weight in order to keep his job (he's in the military)…

I'm so regular that it's almost irregular and I still have a belly pooch. Just eat right, exercise (possibly stop paying for WW since you can get the same service for free here on MFP) and you'll weight will eventually come off. I've lost 20 pounds this year already and my son just turned 1 last week. Of course I'm also…
