Need a Slow-Cooker Recipe Please
Just looking for something fun to do this weekend. I'm really working on that whole plan-your-meals-for-the-week thing, so I figure something in a crock pot could give me the volume I need. Not too picky; no dietary restrictions, no allergies. I don't like avocado. If it works with rice, sweet! I'm a grad student, and rice…

Garmin Tech Question
Hey Guys. I was off the grid for most of summer, and I just got settled into my new place. Once I got my scale going again (Garmin Smart Scale) I noticed that MFP had logged the exact weight from it. Did Garmin and MFP start syncing up on the weight numbers? Hope everyone here has had a fantastic summer!

New Year, New Plan, New Goals

I'm very excited, though…

Completed my first triathlon!
This last weekend, I completed the TriAmador Olympic Triathlon in Ione, CA. .93 mile swim, 24 mile bike, 6.2 mile run. It was awful! I can't wait to do another one! I know; that sounds like a total non-sequitur. But that's the truth. Swim went easy; water was warm, but I used the wetsuit anyways for extra buoyancy.…

Revamping Goals: Need help with activity level selection
Alright... I got a new tracker tonight (can't find my old running watch, so I went with something a little more multisport). Decided it's time to revamp a few of my goals, especially since I've been plateaued for a while. First step: I need to decide what my activity level is for MFP. Here's what I've got Exercise:* 3-4…

Signed up for my first triathlon!
Funny story: over the holiday weekend, saw an old friend at a barbeque. Old habits resurfaced (meaning far to many drinks). Long story short: in my hungover, self-loathing state I decided to "punish myself" by signing up for a triathlon. I signed up for an Olympic length tri at the end of September: 1.5k swim, 40k bike,…

Work in Progress: College Student Success
**Fair warning: Nothing absolutely profane here, but one or two mildly-colorful words in here** I really try not to brag, but sometimes you need to. Still more to do, but I'd like to highlight my progress so far. At the start of 2015, I was a wreck. 260lbs, smoker, drinker, suffering from, as the doctors put it, a…
