Question re: non-MFP weight tracker apps
Hello, Friends - I've noticed that some of you track your weight in tracker apps other than MFP (like "happy scale" etc). I'm wondering what benefits some of those apps offer over MFP? Do you have a particular recommendation? Thanks in advance!

Recomp, Schmeecomp... lol
No offense, all you wonderful Maintainers.. but I don't care about "Recomping" and I'll bet I'm not the only one. I'm 62 years old and have been "overweight" "fat," and "obese" since I was about 12. In those 50 years I have lost, and regained, probably about a thousand pounds and have NEVER managed to "Maintain," not even…

62 yrs old - is it reasonable to start running?

Over the past year I've lost over 110 lbs, from 305 to current 193 (still losing). With all that weight gone, I'm constantly feeling restless, like I have ants in my pants. I want to MOVE, all the…

Why is 3mph not always 3mph?
Hi Folks, question: When I walk in my neighborhood with my dog, my GPS enabled Fitbit tells me that I've walked a total of 3 miles, and it's taken is exactly one hour. I have long legs and big feet, and I walk fast. The dog is trained not to sniff, pee or poop on our walk. During that hour we WALK, and at the end of that…

Has anyone joined a Gym? What are your experiences?
Hi Folks - question: Have any of you joined a gym? I'm getting to the point where I think that maybe joining a gym might be a good idea. But I'm a 61yr old fat white woman, and I really don't want to be exercising with 22 yr old yoga instructors... if you know what I mean. Plus, I live in a small town in upstate New York…
