questioning accuracy of hrm
Hi, I have a polar heart rate monitor. I did the first day of the bikini body guide and it said I burned 355kcal in 35 mins. I was very out of breath and sweating but I thought I saw somewhere that heart rate monitors only work for steady state exercise, is this true?

I have very little upper body tone. I cant afford a gym right now to lift weights, so I got a punching bag off a friend for free(unused) Now im at a loss as to what to do with it to tone up my upper body, particularly my triceps. Any particular moves I should do?
