Day 35 - overcame stress without diet coke
Today was a tad stressful (sick kid), and I normally would have had a diet dr pepper or diet coke to cope. Even going to the McDonald's playground while waiting for my daughter's perscription, I just got water. I felt really good about my decision, and that in and of itself relieved some stress.

Day 34 (?)
it's been a while since I've updated! Still enjoying the coke-free lifestyle. I did have a diet dr pepper on the road; only because my husband ordered for me. But it was a small, and I didn't enjoy it...so I'm not counting it. So I haven't lost any weight, but I think that is because diet dr pepper and diet coke used to be…

Day 19
Still sticking with it  I don't know if anyone out there ever looks at this, but keeping a record helps keep me on track!
-
Day 18
On vacation and still able to be soda free!! I'm disappointed that most commercial green tea has sugar in it. Kinda defeats the purpose! I've been drinking 99% water with a few cups of low-cal lemonade. Anyone else have traveling tips?
-
Day 15
Still no soda :) half-way to a habit, right?
-
Day 13
Still soda free here, but I did have lemonade at lunch. I know that it has sugar (possibly HFCS!), but I was afraid if I had one diet coke, I would go down the slippery slope of having three a day again. I realize I could have had water. I got a meal at a restaurant that came with a self serve drink. I thought since I had…

Healthy food at Disney World?
I'm heading to Disney World with a bunch of family on Thursday. My immediate family's plan is to eat breakfast in our hotel room and pack picnic lunches, but then eat at the parks for dinner. Any tips on what to eat that won't completely derail my healthy eating habits? Or any tips on being the healthy eater on vacation…
-
Day 12
Almost to 2 weeks soda free! I'm going on vacation on Thursday. Any tips for staying soda free while traveling?
-
Day 11
This is possibly the longest I've gone in my adult life without soda! Doing well - drinking lots of water. Green tea does seem to keep cravings at bay. Hope everyone else is doing well :)
-
Day 8
No soda cravings today :) I'm still eating too many sweets - I think once I'm confidently over soda, I will focus energy on getting sweets out of my diet.
-
Day 7
Still going strong! We've made it a week :)
-
Day 6
Today I ate out for the first time since giving up diet coke. I refilled my tiny little water cup several times ;) . I missed the taste of coke while I was eating, but felt good that I stuck to my goal. How was your day? How do you handle eating at restaurants without giving in to the urge for a coke?
-
Day 5
Another day without diet coke :) lots of water and green tea. How is everyone doing?
-
Day 4
Doing well without coke :) . Here is my problem: I would often drink diet coke or diet dr pepper when I craved something sweet. Now that I'm not drinking those, I've found myself slipping by eating a cookie or some ice cream when I crave something sweet. I guess I need to start at square one with sugary snacks, too!
-
Day 3
Third day went well! Stayed busy, so I didn't really even have any cravings for diet coke. How did everyone else do?
-
Day 1
A few of us are starting today, so I thought I'd keep a running tally of our progress. So how did today go? I really wanted a Diet Dr Pepper this afternoon, but I made a green tea before running errands, so I stayed strong
-
Day 2
How did today go for everyone? Lots of water and green tea for me :)
