I just started lifting weights, and I definitely need some advice! How often should I be lifting? It is true that you should lift only every other day to let your muscles rest and rebuild in between? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!!

HI! I'm an 18 year old girl, and a cross country runner. I'm trying to lose about 5 pounds, and have been on myfitnesspal.com for a couple of weeks now.
