I am thinking about getting a heart rate monitor of some-sort. probably a watch I would like to know my heart rate while I am working out. It would also be nice if it counted calories. I would like to try and figure out how many calories I burn per sit up. I've heard a person can do about 10 sit ups per minute...but honestly, I think I to just a tad more than that. But when I use the calculator under exercise, it says I burn 19 calories per minute. Does that seem correct?
So I entered my 2 hours of lawn mowing (riding mower) and it says I burned nearly 500 calories - how is that possible? By the way, I'm new to myfitnesspal - looking forward to the weight loss!
