First day with the fitbit flex, I'm playing football (soccer) later, I know it will measure my steps but will I have to manually put in that I played football or leave it with just the steps I've ran. Please any help

Just got a fit bit flex set it all up on my phone and it's been charging,when I look on the app it says I've burned 1000 cals. I haven't even put it on my wrist yet Please help
