I really need something to get me through the day and not feel like I need to eat a bowl of potato chips to make me happy. Any suggestions?

Is it bad I'm NOT hungry?
I have a habit of usually not getting over 1,000 calories, and today I've only had 437. I don't feel hungry at all and I sort of feel like I've at a lot. But I'm worried that I'll go into "starvation mode" and damage my body, but is that REALLY a problem if I'm not hungry?
