Palliative care/ Morphine: pain relief or assisted suicide

Is it okay to bury a pet in the back yard?
It is a terrible thing to lose a pet. Like losing a part of the family. There are cremation services for pets and what not. But, is it wrong to bury them yourself in today' s world?
