Most training programs I see are for 1/2 marathon and marathon runners saying you need 20 base miles per week before you work on speed. But if you are a recreational runner that gets in 3 to 4 days a week that is not real doable. For those targeting 10k's how many miles do you log a week?

Working on losing my last 10 lbs to ultimate goal and looking for others in that boat to chat with. The last 10 is the hardest so need some encouragement. Doing a heart rate metabolic test tomorrow to target in my optimal heart rate zones. The goal is to get to 125 lbs in 10 weeks and I haven't seen that weight for over 20…
