The MFP default macros are 50% carbs. They're fine if you don't have a medical reason to limit them. I lost 65 pounds eating that many carbs each day.8 -

You say you believe you’re eating less but are you actually counting calories? I lost 65 pounds without cutting out any of that stuff, just working items into my calories.4 -

Why are those foods bad? I fit in some form of dessert, usually ice cream, nearly every night. It's just one portion, weighed out to fit my calories.4 -
