If 1500 is a deficit you'll lose weight. What you eat matters for nutrition and satisfaction but doesn't have a lot to do with weight loss - unless you eat too much of it.7 -

I would see a Registered Dietician who specializes in clients with diabetes - or at least has enhanced knowledge of the special dietary needs you require.9 -

Unless you're on steroids, eating at a major calorie surplus and doing a pretty intense lifting program you're probably not going to end up bulky.7
