Let's show some love to ourselves by selecting a goal that is going to further your health in some way, whether it be physical health or even mental health.

You could make sure your electrolyte levels are better.
Or commit to more exercise.
Or decide to forgo a bad habit you KNOW is hampering your health from being what it could.
Or start a good habit you've been putting off.
Or simply continue to focus on whatever health-conscious New Year's Resolution you made for last month.

And of course, hit dem Basics!
The Basics? Glad you asked:smirk:
  • Planning ahead!!!
  • Staying under carbs
  • Staying under calories
  • Logging and measuring
  • Getting in exercise/movement if that's one of your goals
  • Keeping an eye on electrolyte levels
  • Getting enough water
  • Planning ahead!!! Oh, wait. I said that already? Yes, I frickin' did. Because you must! "Failing to plan is planning to fail."

 Love your health by "sprinting," (focusing hard and giving your all) for the whole month. It's only 28 days.
You've got this!

Exercise has been a challenge this week... last post, I reported my cross training group class for Tuesday expecting to go that evening, but started getting sick in the late afternoon. My tonsils have since been angry oversized balls of fire that only seem to shut up with large doses of ibuprofin.

You're supposed to take it easy when you catch something, right?... ugh..

2/15 - great day - calories spot on and carbs @ 20 net grams! I've been eating a low carb biscuit in a mug with 2 fried eggs for breakfast lately and it's really helped to keep me full! Lunches are more caloric too - I wasn't eating enough calories or fat and starving myself!

Yes. If you feel bad enough then by all means rest.
I hope you are feeling better soon.

    Happy Friday Everyone

My goal was to do 6000 steps a day. For now, I'm finding I wind up doing about 4000 steps.
Still, that's an increase, and I do find I'm purposefully getting up to add steps on.

And really, if I just keep at it, I'm sure the numbers will increase on their own and I'll work my way up to 6000 and beyond.
I'm counting that as a win for now.

2/17 carbs at net 34. A little higher because I was having fun baking low carb foods: blueberry mug muffin was awesome and a coffee cake yum!! AND no sugar cravings after eating them. Me and swerve seem to get along just fine!!

    Steps are good.
Food plan is not so good. Can really tell it's stress eating/stuffing that is messing with me, not real hunger. Trying to mitigate this with various strategies.

Back on the wagon for the week after a lapse in judgment led me to carbs and overeating this weekend. Sweets have been my downfall all last week so it’s time to cut the cord! Elize7, I’m having the same issue of stress eating rather than being hungry. We can do this!!

Back from vacation! Did well with the exception of water. I don't drink enough if I'm not sitting at my desk with my huge bottle giving me the evil eye

    Food - :+1:
    Water - :+1:
    Sleep - :-1: only 5 hours
    Exercise - :+1:

    Workout A
    Squat - 3x8 @ 30 pounds
Pushup - 3x8 down a level, February's goal, but not deep enough
    Inverted Row - 3x8
    Back extension - 3x15 @ 110, 115, 115 pounds
35 second plank - no joke after the back extensions

    Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I went overboard on food yesterday, which was unfortunate because I wasn't hungry when I did and the food wasn't that good.

Back on track with a plan today and feeling well enough to get back to some physical activity.

Food was going great yesterday until dinnertime. Carbs were okay about 35net grams, but went way over on calories.

My food scale arrived a couple days ago. It'll be interesting to see what my portions start looking like

This week was an improvement on steps. Not perfect, but absolutely taking it up a notch.
Regular activity is the bane of my existence...so I'm more than satisfied with this week's progress.

2/21 - another 20 net gram day! Scale dropped a little bit today so I'm not overly worried. It's more about making this a lifestyle with hopefully the benefit of dropping 10 lbs :)

    Weekly check in....

Get up and walk and stretch each hour at work. Need to work harder on this.
Continue last months decluttering project in my home...did a couple tasks but not enough.
Under 50 net carbs daily....Most days yes. Had a high carb day for my daughter's b-day dinner.

Overall I must try harder. lol
