I am just starting the road to hard work and determination and meeting with the doctors for gastric bypass. I am pretty decided at this point that I want to do the sleeve. I meet with the doctor in a few weeks. I have lumbar discs issues with all the discs at some point of stenosis or buldging. Arthritic knees and a bmi of 39. I have been at this weight fight for most of my 57 years. I look forward to reading posts and gaining information from this group.

Welcome aboard, Diane! I was just sleeved 9/30, so i am new to the post-op world and looking forward to a scrambled egg!
This a good group of supportive people. Read as many of the topics as you can, gather yourself a group of friends at all stages of the process so you can look at diaries and see what people are eating.
My advice is to hit the pre-surgery program hard and get yourself used to the eating habits and behaviors. Also, find a way to get physically moving. My surgery went very well and I attribute most of that to the pre-surgery work.
