Fat girl problems

Amongst my current successes I have to talk about fat girl problems

I have had 2 c sections and as such I have an 'overhang'. I hate it with a passion beyond sense it really upsets me it looks awful in fitted trousers and those loose enough to disguise it make me look even fatter than I am now.

Occasionally after a couple days at work I end up really sore on one side, under my belly where it presses against my leg. I work in a hot environment and do a physical job and after a cpl days back to back I end up with a red sore patch. Its always on the same side oddly enough. I take minimal stuff to work with me just lunch and car keys but am considering getting a work backpack so I can take some wetwipes and sudocreme to work with me for these odd days.

IDK, I guess just 30lb down it depresses me I am still so huge that I have these problems. And I know they are minor in the grand scale of things, it just seems to be so far away the day I wont have to feel so disgusted by my own flab. I figure all I can do is keep exercising and eating right til eventually enough weight comes off that i dont have this anymore.

No sense in this post I dont think. Just wondering when I wont be fat anymore

I know exactly what you are talking about. 5 babies in 8 years and two c sections and I have big time overhang. It has gotten a lot less firm I guess you could say but still there. I hate trying to find pants that fit...ones that look decent in front are always saggy on the backside.

After the last c section I talked to a nurse about the issue with a sore patch and she suggested I place a piece of cotton fabric in there when I knew I was going to be active and sweaty. As long as the fabric isn't too big it kind of forms to the skin and I don't even notice it there. Obviously you don't want to leave it there for long periods of time but it did help a lot with the soreness. It helps keep the moist skin from rubbing together. I have also used a sprinkling of gold bond powder too.

Ladies, I have only had one baby, but I carried all out front, delivered "naturally," so it stretched out that skin dramatically. I have this same chafing problem (I also get inflamed, irritated, and infected pores, which are so NOT fun). I'm down almost 100 pounds now, and it is no less annoying now than it was. I'm hoping that the planks challenge I'm doing will help some, tightening up the unused muscles underneath. In fact, sometimes I think it is worse now than it was. My fat likes to shift around and settle every time I lose some inches. It is ridiculously frustrating. My guy told me that unless I get super duper fit/flat tummy, I'll always have some overhang (he is a martial arts instructor), skin or flab...Kind of depressing, but I've debated getting a tummy elastic "girdle" dealy to hold it up while I'm working out, but I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for yet... Good luck to us all.

Powder doesn't seem to help as when standing, the powder will settle or drop off, but when working out, I still rub...have tried it many times. :( I try to wear something with enough fabric to tuck under, but once I move, so does everything else... Alas... Only way to deal with it long term is to get rid of it, eh?

Same boat here! I have always had a overhang just from being fat that progressively worsened as I continued to get fatter...Then my twins came along, followed by my c-section, holy moly now. Down 85lbs and I see no difference in my stomach. Others can see it somewhat but I don't dare undress in front of anyone other than my husband because I am mortified. I plan to ask my ob at my yearly, if this is still just a lot of fat or excess skin or if I have separated ab muscles (very common with multiples pregnancy).

I tried on a spanx body slimmer the other day and liked the way it made me look under my clothes but it would be too uncomfortable to wear daily. I have a $50 giftcard to spend but still could not bring myself to spend $88 ($38 after card) on it. I still might buy it but after I speak with my ob about the skin/fat/blobby mess of a stomach.

I've bought some liquid talc to try. Hopefully might help. I know I am probably always gonna be stuck with it :/

Be careful with the talc. Science is now showing that use of talc may lead to ovarian cancer. I haven't checked the research myself, but there are a huge number of lawsuits showing up here over it!

Have I had babies and no ones told me? I have "overhang" though it has nothing to do with having given birth. I have a feeling it will always be their. I'm not at my goal weight so it's hard to know how bad it will be, maybe it wont be as severe. But even after 80+lbs it's still their. I particularly get sores in old stretch marks under the fold, made worse when I exercise. I have a particularly panful deep blood blister on one now.

I as someone with a penis did this too myself. It might always be a part of me. I hate the way I look in the mirror, their is nothing nice about it. The overhang, the sections at the front of your thighs. It's painful but it somewhat getting better and I can't let it derail me. Though yes I wish it would all just go away.

Their are lawsuits of talc, though the science doesn't seem conclusive. The main increased risk were to miners and women who applied it to the gentile region regularly.

Wearing spandex or compression shorts while exercising helped me, particularly ones long enough to wrap up around my belly and under the "overhang."

Patrick, you crack me up!!!! I got heavier, by far, after I delivered my daughter, but the stretching that was the worst was while I was pregnant...because of the speed with which it happened. I was 200 pounds even at 9 months pregnant checking into the hospital to have my daughter. At my heaviest, I was around 350 pounds, so I definitely did it to myself, too.

Yep, 80+ pounds down, "the hang" is still there...loose skin will always be there, even after flabby layer is dramatically reduced. I get all sorts of fun afflictions, some on the stretch marks, some just in the neighborhood. Skin tags are really bad for me, too...

If I look at myself straight on, I'm okay. But turn sideways and see the belly bump and the ghetto booty and I'm so not happy, so I just try not to do that, as like you, I don't want my lack of achievements in one place to derail me in another...

I don't have the funds to invest in new workout clothes, but I will keep that in mind as far as spandex/compression garments. Problem with what I have is that once I move, my protective layer rolls and shifts with the rest of me, often out of the preferred area... Alas, unless I want to use butt glue or something, which on my skin would probably cause a rash worse than chafing, I'm out of luck at the moment...

    LOL

I also try to use compression shorts/pants under my work out clothing. It seems to help.

AHHH a booty, I wish I had one and not a wide semi-flat one :(

Ive found a pair of joggin bottoms (old ones ive slimmed into yay) which are relatively flattering. The others are awful but I am too tight to buy anymore when I have smaller ones waiting for me to morph into. I will simply put up with it for now. As for work the liquid talc is probably ok as its not proper talc, I buy t from the baby aisle. It goes on wet and dries to a powder so will give it a try

Hanging, sagging skin. Bleh. My poor belly, bottom and breastages. ;) I've lost weight all over, but I can really see it in my breasts. I went down a bra size (actually, a couple!) before I've gone down in other sizes. My new bras give me a young, perky look, until I take them off and reality drops in (literally!) And, my rear end? Such lumps and bumps! I swear, my skin was smoother 60 pounds ago. But, it's all good, right? Right????

I can see my collar bones sneaking up on me though. So, that's one good thing.

Oh, but here's one more delight that hasn't been mentioned. The right side of my belly hangs lower than the left side. I attribute this to the way my enormous son lay in my womb. 9 lbs 7 oz, 16 inch head, he was a brute! And, he's scarred me for life, lol. Not that I'd ever tell him that my stomach sags funny because of him. But, you all know now. ;)
