Hiatal Hernia problems

I had my hiatal hernia fixed with my sleeve. About 3 months ago. The past couple days, I have been having this pain, and it is getting worse. From what I am reading/feeling, I think it could be related to the hernia Has anyone had this happen?

Hmm. I have not. I'm sure you've called the doctor, but if not, call the doctor!

I had a hiatal hernia repair done with my sleeve too. For 9 months, I was fine, then started getting reflux. It turns out the hernia has re-opened. I am having it repaired again next month. You should contact your surgeon right away and get checked out. Good luck.
  • I finally went to the emergency room, per my surgeons office. It got to the point where I couldn't eat or drink. I was at the ER for almost 12 hours doing labs, tests, scans. Dehydrated, extremely low potassium, and a UTI. However, they found fluid pooling in my esophagus. Called surgeon, he said he would follow up with me to have me come in for the camera down throat test, EGD I think..... Well, after seeing the scans, his office called me first thing in the morning asking me to rush to THEIR hospital, an hour away. Went there, did all the same things. Xrays, bloodwork, scans. This time the scans were in multiple positions. There isn't a leak that they can tell. They are unsure if the fluid is blood or acid. I was alone and couldnt get the EGD done. So they are treating it like acid, in hopes that it is that, and in a few weeks if I am not better, then the EGD will be done. Liquid Hydrocodone has been a miracle worker, but, I can't function like an adult on it. As I am tearing up from my desk at work....
