Hey ladies.

Question. i am just starting on stronglifts because i want to increase my strength.. however, i also want to increase my stamina in running. i have kids so its hard to go to the gym everyday.. should i do running on the treadmill before and after my stronglift workout? Any other suggestions :)

TIA!

for me, i seem to feel bulletproof for a while right after a lifting session but i've never taken that feeling out for a serious test to see how long it would last. afraid i'll strand myself and my bike 15 miles from home, with no energy left to get home.

it might be one of those things you just have to try both ways, and see which one is better for you.
  • After! (Just my 2 cents.)
  • I second doing cardio after lifting or on the days you're not lifting. Before zaps your energy for lifting. Also, if you're doing heavy cardio like marathon training, adding strong lifts might be too much overall.

I just started stronglifts but so far I've been able to do half of my regular cardio without much trouble after lifting. I have not tried to do cardio before lifting. I also have not tried to do a full cardio workout after lifting just because I'm too pressed for time in the mornings but I haven't felt so exhausted that I could not keep going after doing half. Not sure if this will still be the case after the lifts get heavier though.
