Quads = sore

So my quads ache from my first go at StrongLifts on Monday.
I don't know if I should be working them again tonight.
Having said that, I know it's important to follow the program to a tee, but I just feel as though I will not be 100% effective doing squats again tonight.
Thoughts?

doms is common: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_onset_muscle_soreness
usually it's not dangerous to keep working out while feeling it, although you might not feel like you want to at first ;-) if it's any consolation, it usually gets better (for me) with use, so a workout is actually more of a help than not doing it. not using a doms-y muscles seems to be the worst thing for mine.
take it as you feel it . . . and if you want an extra rest day before the next workout, there's nothing wrong with that either. you've got your life to lift in, after all ;-)0 -
get some icy/hot, it burns but helps in the long run and yes, I'd take an extra day and up the protein. My first day.. oh man, I never wanted to squat, sit, anything that involved my legs, ever, ever again0

Oh and yes, it does get better
Make sure your form is correct, my first round I wasn't in correct form and it was the front of my thighs, now its my whole thigh and rear too.

DOMS saw my quads on fire too, but I think the hamstrings and glutes should be more sore (the "good" kind of sore). So this week am only using the Oly Bar to better my form.0
