Weekly Activities

Here is a list of ALL the Weekly Activities possible. Please look for this week's list of seven challenges in another discussion!



Sports Day: one point for 60 minutes of participation in any sport

Healthy Eating Day: one point for trying a new healthy recipe. Earn an extra point for sharing the recipe (tell us why it's healthy please). At the end of the summer, I'll release a compilation of all the healthy recipes submitted.

Cabin Cleaning Day: one point for cleaning a room, closet, basement, garage, etc. Think major cleaning, not light dusting here. Minimum 60 minutes.

Music Appreciation Day: one point for 60 minutes of dancing or other aerobics using music.

Family Day: one point for completing an activity with another family member. Should challenge your body or your mind. (60 minutes preferred)

Pamper Yourself Day: one point for pampering yourself for a job well done. Think, massage, manicure, favorite snack, movie night...whatever makes you feel pampered!

Pay It Back Day: one point for a good deed completed, whether it be for a stranger, a friend, a coworker, etc. Should not be an activity that you normally do.

Martial Arts Day: one point for completing a martial arts-related activity, either through direct participation in a class or by using an online video and following along, or by completing a sizable amount of reps of a martial arts move. The Don from the Sopranos group had a few videos that were good and I'm certain he can offer up a few ideas if you need them.

Community Day: one point for completing an activity that supports your community. For example, baking for a bake sale, picking up garbage along a walking path, working at a local carnival or fair.

Body Toning Day: one point for completing an activity that will focus on toning the body part of the week.

Appreciating Nature Day: one point for completing an activity where you learn more about nature or show that you care about nature.

Water Day: one point for completing an activity involving water: swimming, exercising in a pool, water sports... or my idea of water day... watering my plants... lol.

Art Appreciation Day: one point for completing an activity involving artistic skills: taking a art class, knitting, building, etc.

Movie Critic Day - Write a movie review under the Movie Review discussion post.

Gardening Day - Complete an activity involving gardening.

Book Critic Day - Write a book review under the Book Review discussion post.

Make A New Friend Day - Just what it says, may be on MFP, online or in real life. You should do more than just hit a "friend" button for this. Introduce yourself to them, tell them a little about you, and make sure you learn some things about them!

NSV (Non Scale Victory) Day - Tell us something good that's come of your health challenge other than losing weight.

Exercise App/Video Review Day - Tell us about an exercise app or video that you have used, what's good or not so good about it, etc.
