From a diet perspective I'd look at low carb, and increasing your exercise. Both will help with the effects of IR and enable you to loose some weight  Healthy is a beautiful thing when you find it, good luck!

I second the low carb suggestion, though I want to be more specific -- low carb, high fat. Starting from the low fat mindset most of us have been brainwashed into, then dropping carbs usually results in increasing protein to compensate. This is a road to failure in about a hundred different ways. Around 100g of protein is generally sufficient. Set carbs to your goal number (usually 100g or less), and let fat fill the rest. I've got several posts in this community going into more detail, so feel free to peruse them.

Also, you might want to look into Inositol supplementation, especially if you're looking to have more kids (but even if you're not, it's awesome for PCOS). It has had measurable positive effects on egg quality, which increases the chance of a successful pregnancy and reduces the risk of defects. It's a pseudo-vitamin that used to be considered part of the B complex, so it's very safe and shouldn't interfere with just about anything (except lithium, which it actually augments the benefits and helps counteract the side effects).

I'm on Inositol as well, I've found a huge difference since adding it. I still eat LCHF, but for the first time in my life my weight loss results are "normal." I take 8grams a day of inositol powder. I'm not after any more children but I certainly know it's helping my weight loss.
