Fitbit manual adjustments went away

I have talked to FitBit customer support twice and am in an ongoing email conversation with them, so this is basically a heads up for everyone.

Twice a day I manually adjust my activities because I drive school bus and am "given" about 2500 extra steps for each trip. The process was working until a couple weeks ago. Now when I enter the activity then return to the dashboard the steps do not adjust. I have been manually entering low calories for this time period until the bug is fixed.

The engineering crew said it was fixed when they saw my 10 calorie adjustment for the time period. I told them "no". They were not convinced so I thought of something to show them.

I keep all my weekly reports. I went back to the 3rd week in September where my steps were only 56,000 for the week and took a screen shot of the report. Then I told them to take a look at the calendar on my dashboard and go back to that week. Every single day is well over 10,000 steps now bringing the weekly total to over 80,000.

Whatever bug happened in their code is apparently retroactive. I am sure they will fix this but its taking them quite a while. Its been over a week since I first reported the problem.

Prior to this bug, every time I manually entered the driving then returned to the dashboard and watched it resync, the number of steps would adjust down between 1800 and 3000 steps, depending on the length of the bus ride and how bumpy the roads were that day.

Has anyone else noticed the same problem?

Update. Received another email from the fitbit crew which said that thanks to users' input they have figured out what went wrong and are working on a fix. This is taking them forever!
