So, sitting here trying to come up with something intelligent to bring up - and so far I've got nothing! LOL

Best I've got it - is it just me, or is it the healthier I get, the more I notice more things wrong with me than before (like I was blithely ignoring my love handles before because I was enormous?) or the healthier I get, the more health issues surface (before I had so much generally wrong with me, I couldn't even recognize the more detailed health issues)?

I think for me, this is more discouraging than the scale not moving sometimes. I keep trying to think of it as - my body's finally getting with the program - since I'm getting healthier and fixing things, it finally feels like it can go to the mechanic (aka doctor) for a real tune-up, but that is hard to keep in mind.

Do you struggle with the same types of issues - or do you have other major discouraging things?

Yeah before this started I was oblivious. Then at the er for an asthma attack they were scared for my high bp I got put on meds. Made an appt for my doc and the idea of getting off those meds in 6 months was why I began again on this journey. 2 years almost I think later I have not lost as much as I hoped, I am not only still on those meds I am also now on cholesterol meds, I have to take my blood test each day for pre-diabetes, my knee that I thought would get better when all that weight was off it is still bad. We had this come up once and I still have Pat's excellent way of putting it in my head. Something about cleaning the crap off the car and seeing what damage has been done. He put it better. The fact is these issues were there already waiting. I asked at my recent appt if I could come off at least the cholesterol but with prediabetes he says we need to keep my cholesterol at levels lower than you can just with a healthy diet. bugger. I hate being on pills it makes me feel old. Oh well! x

Not hugely. I've noticed my general aches and pains have reduced. I am getting pain in my shoulder again though which Ive not had for a couple of years and I have achilles tendonitis but thats because of all the extra exercise I am doing I suspect. I can only hope I caught it early enough that I dont develop too many problems

Natasha, I take more pills that should be legal. Granted, a decent number of them are supplements and not prescription meds, as my body had been deficient for decades... It is still frustrating. Some days I forget to take some...luckily just the vitamins... But I feel like a pill *kitten*. I'm finally starting to feel human again. I just realized that it has been slightly easier to get out of bed each day, as I've started a new thyroid support supplement. Squeeeeeee - So excited.

    angelic843 - Consider yourself forewarned!

Lise - I hope your luck continues. I've been suffering with plantar fasciitis for the better part of 10-15 years. The worst part was 6-7 years ago. But it is still there. I wouldn't wish that hell on anyone.

    Hugs to all...

I had plantar fasciitis about 2 years ago. It was a very painful couple months, and then I damaged a ligament in the opposite knee from walking with unbalanced weight. It took more than a year to be pain-free. I still won't walk barefoot to this day because I'm afraid of it coming back. So far, I've been okay. Crossing my fingers.

Yeah mines an occupational hazard. Ice and brufen and I seem to be getting on top of it though
