I know it says i am suppose to start with 95 lbs but I can't even lift the 95 lbs. I am a fairly bigger girl but have no strength. SO I was thinking of starting with half of that around 45-50 lbs.. would that be okay? And I don't have a power rack or any of that jazz

"Supposed" is an objective term in my opinion. Stronglifts was designed for men and although we can all do the same lifts we can't all start in the same place. Try to imagine where the bar would be if it has 45lb plates on it and lift from there using whatever weight you can complete 5 reps with.
Hope that makes sense0 -
Start where you start. The recommended starting weights are not a firm rule, just the maximum. I had to work my way up to the 45-pound bar for overhead presses and started with dumbbells. Who cares? It's fine.0

Sorry to show up so late in the game…
When I started SL back in February, I started with a ten pound standard bar, and two five pound plates. ALL my lifts started at 20 lbs.
On my second deadlft night, we just added plates until I found a weight that was challenging, which, in my case, happened to be 70 pounds.
I had to take about 3-4 weeks off due to an injury in March, and started back at 70 in late April, and have since worked my way back up to 120, which is only five pounds more than I left off when I was hurt.
It’s all basically a “do what you can do” kind of thing, and you are only competing against yourself (which was a hard pill for me to swallow, given how competitive I am in my everyday life, LOL  ) and the hubs kept telling me not to worry about what all the other SL girls were doing…
Just do what you can do (I didn’t get my Oly bar until I KNEW I could do all the lifts at 45 lbs), and don’t worry about the rest. As long as you are challenging yourself and increasing your weights as you can (form over total poundage, ALWAYS), you are doing GREAT!!!! :flowerforyou:0 -
I started at 45 and just now got to 950

5th power!! the Mouse rules!!0 -
I started with 75, went up to 85, now im down at 55. I kept hurting my back because i had no clue what i was doing! So i agree, lower weights until you get form right!0

As everybody else wisely stated - lift what you can do with good form. BUT - don't forget to stack plates on the floor until the bar is 8.5" off the ground - like it would be with 45 pounders on each end. Otherwise you will have a hard time learning the proper form.
But absolutely - the only competition you have is yourself.0 -
I started with 65 lbs. I was worried about hurting my back trying to do too much too soon. I'm in my sixth week and up to 105 now. I will say it's a lot easier once you get to put the 25 lb plates on, but it can be done with less. Like the others said just make sure you stack some plates under so that the bar is high enough off the ground.0
